Great job, on both patterns and good video. I wonder if, you had an arm of a mannequin and soaked the leather and stretch it, using a few holes, till it dried. Then and permanent holes for lacing. Just a thought.
I've thought about getting a complete mannequin for making some leather projects on, but the "Dad-bod" ones are pretty pricey in my size! Thanks for watching!
I made a arm cuff similar to the one you made I used elk skin only mine covered my palm more because when I was at the shooting range with my muzzle loader the palm got a little sore. I used snaps to close it.
Nice job, I was going to try and make my own but decided to buy because it wouldn't have the spade on it. I know it's not accurate, but put a brown elastic lace on mine to make it easier to put on. As my dad would have said, "A man in a high flying plane wouldn't know the difference.😂
Yeah, I left the spade off of mine too. I like the elastic idea, maybe I'll re-make it some day with elastic and the spade. Your Dad was correct! Thanks for watching!
I love this videos of yours focused on leathergoods featured in western movies, plese more! I have a TH-cam channel as well focused on Cowboy Action Shooting and Western guns it's in Italian but soon I'm planning to add wnglish subs. and aslos I do my own leatherwork, keep up the good stuff! Been really enjoying your content as of late! Just discovered the channel! Where did you get the hat in this video? Could you do a quick review on it or give me your thoughts? Looking to get a good Man with No Name hat.
I greatly appreciate the compliment! Believe it or not, the hat actually started of as a standard "Cattleman's crease" hat from Boot Barn. I used my wife's clothing steamer and my hands to reshape it. The hat band I made based on what pictures I could find from the movies. The amazing thing about all cowboy hats is that they all start out the same shape. At some time I plan on doing a video showing how I do the hats, maybe this winter when it's just too nasty to go outside and play. Thanks for watching!
Nice work, but I never understood what it was for, " HOLLYWOOD" I guess. An yes we had velcro in the 60's, but it was "EXPENSIVE" cause it wasn't widely known back then. But around CAPE CANAVERAL new stuff turned up around us all the time.
I don't think it helps with the grip on his pistol, I do know it makes it harder to use a computer mouse! There's velcro on everything nowadays. Ahh them space guys got all the cool stuff!
That's very nice of you to mention the channel, Richard! You did a magnificent job on that bracer. Now you've given me some ideas....
Awesome! Can't wait to see 'em!
I like than you showed your first attempt to show two techniques to make this and it gives us an appreciation of how difficult leatherwork is.
I wish I could get it right the first time, every time! Thank you very much for the kind words and thank you for watching!
You are doing amazing! Thank you for listening to your viewers. You'll grow soon enough! Keep up the great work
I'm always listening, and usually reply too! Thanks for watching!
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview did you like the out come with out the music or with it?
@@chassepot9218 I'm ok without the music but sometimes it helps hide the sound of the washer and dryer!

Very nice! Snaps would be a lot easier than the lacing. I think I should use a softer tanned leather, I just may do that! Thanks for watching!
I myself own the hat and poncho. I just need the silver snake grip revolver and the right gun belt. And I'll probably make my own cuff
I still need the .38 revolver and the vest. Thank you for watching!
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview you're welcome. And there's one shop in my town that has the .38 but I might have to online order the .45
@@Stuingtion You don't happen to be in Ohio do you?
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview no, I'm not in Ohio

Have you thought about using elastic cord like those used by lock laces for boots.
That might work, it might not be authentic to the movie cuff but it just might work!
Excellent Richard 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Shane!
Pretty darn good work
Thanks!
fantastic !!!!
Thanks!
Love the content you are putting out. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much!
I see you cutting up that nice United shirt
Not sure what you're talking about! It got ripped at the bottom otherwise I would have used a different one.
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview lol love that technique, never even thought of doing it that way.
Practice makes perfect
I enjoy it too! Thanks for watching!

Thanks! I plan on doing a few more videos on both the "movie leather" and copies of the guns used in the movies. Grazie, Richard from America

Awesome job! Can you make me one?
Unfortunately, I am not ready to do custom orders, maybe sometime in the distant future.
Velcro dates back to the 1940s patent in 1950s
Yeah, I was surprised when someone else had mentioned that. Thanks for watching!

You need a cigar. LOL
A shot of Whiskey too!
What exactly was the purpose of the "cuff"s"?
The best way I can explain it is to have you watch Arizona Ghostriders video about them. th-cam.com/video/9oN3za99TEQ/w-d-xo.html
