I haven't played realm in over a year, but when I did vcs were a great way to learn dungeons safely. I enjoy actually comprehending what is going on instead of just blindly doing, and they gave me that information. Before I stopped playing I was experienced enough with everything but O3 and Shatts to ignore calls, so I would actively look for runs by the based RLs who just shoot the shit instead of making calls.
Now, as an endgame player, vcs are just annoying But as a new player I loved vcs, they let me learn the dungeon in a relatively safe environment and the rl could give me knowledge to make it easier without having to find out the hard way. My very first new shatts I got all the way to king skull phase, most of that was thanks to the rl Also congrats on best weapon in the game
love your vids its lots of good inspiration to keep playing this terrible game after deaths, but when I was first learning fungal, cults, and crystal cavern the VC's were very useful as I felt I lost all knowledge about the game mid dungeon so TH-cam guides were not that useful for me. Now on the other hand if I have a good RL than its fine commentary mid dungeon makes clear less like getting cancer but as you referred to in the video I also despise the kids who barely know how to play the game themselves shouting at you for not using you DPS swap. love the content keep it up. :)
honestly i might just be an outlier, but i think vcs actually harmed my ability to do dungeons as a beginner, ESPECIALLY O3, because most RLs were incredibly distracting or just straight up annoying
I've played realm longer then imma admit but when new dung and such come out I brute force the shit I've been in many moonlights yet to actually listen to calls and I have done em successfuly
i've been playing realm since i was 9-10 years old and I had more enjoyment playing than vs now. The updates they have been giving us is nice but its still not as fun when I started
