Kyle you making all us OG's that been here from beginning proud as hell. We may not be with you man but seeing where you started to where you've come, people wouldn't understand. Congrats guys, you & Wyatt are killing it.💯
Congrats Kyle and those burnouts are looking way better then before. Getting those tires a little hotter sure helps and I think if you put the engine cover on it will help stabilize the car up top
I can't believe they were just some kid's bringing hotrods to PFI Speed a couple year's ago to now chasing world records and branching out to new endeavour's. Keep going Kyle!! you are truly inspiring!!!
Having jamie and wyatt at the track together is the best team to have. Can fueltech activate a solenoid to deploy chute so you have both hands on the wheel down the big end ?
@@vampirical1225 CO2 activated with manual as a backup exists, they have a pneaumatic ram that pulls the handle for you when you press a button. If it fails, you can still pull the handle yourself. Since they don't have CO2 onboard, maybe a solenoid on the handle would work too, but I'm not sure if anything powerful enough that runs on 12V exists.
Yes, but if for whatever reason the Fueltech/any other ECU can't run that logic and/or doesn't have any spare GPIO pins to control it with - then I can confirm that anyone could build a button controlled setup (with a speed-sensor safety-switch) for less than $150 + whatever you can get the HPA/CO2 hardware & chute for. I can only imagine that the FT550 supports multi-purpose button function mapping tho, where 1 button does many things dependent on sensor inputs.... otherwise Kyle would never put one on his Boosted Shoppingcart. But yeah, there are tons of ways you could define the logic to be redundant for both: not firing on street & more importantly, always firing at the top of the big-end (but I'll keep this comment kinda long, instead of a full-ass novel, by not writing all that up rn lol)
This car could go very low 7s, no matter how much Kyle tries the cars still rolls the first few feet on every single pass. If they could dial that out there 1 or 2 tenths there which will make a big difference downtrack.
less slip in the clutch and higher rpm but less boost might solve that? He could also load the clutch more on the handbrake, treat it like he doesn’t have that slipper.
I remember watching the video of you walking down the road picking up pieces of the original motor, and now look where you are with this thing, its crazy how far it and you have come
Man these kind of videos just give me goosebumps because I've been following you since you got the hatch.. congrats Kyle just keep pushing and doing great things.. you have a great team around you Brent and Wyatt have always been in the videos since day one in some form or another... That's cool to see how you guys have each other's back.. keep pushing brother..
Yup! I bought a clapped civic wagon and searched for a wagon sleeper, been watching ever since! When they got the Colorado shop I literally had tears of joy for them. They've busted their asses for this!
The MR2 sounds so good on 2 step and is leaving the line wicked fast and smooth. Props to both if you for breaking the world record in a car built by just you two in the garage. A garage without a lift! Can't wait to see it in the next event with the big dogs. What a journey. 🔥
Really smart Kyle. Proud of you to call the testing session to save the car. You're learning man. That was a great last run. Can't wait to see what she does at an event.
Keep it up buddy! I have had years of entertainment watching you. Thank you for all your hard work as well as the blood sweat and tears that have gone into it!
This is what I wanted to see! Way to go Kyle! That MR2 is moving for sure. Congratulations on the record as with all the hard work you've done, you deserve it!
Kyle, brother, I’m super proud of the progress you and Wyatt have made since he came to Florida. I’m doing celebratory bonghits for you guys now. 🤙🏼💨😶🌫️💨🤙🏼
Brother! You guys are murdering it! Cant wait to see you face off with Leroy 2.0! Also mad respect bringing it in and not blowing her up. Lets go cant wait to see her compete
Kyle is the Man! Impressed with how far this channel has come and how fast this man is goin. Much love. Go on a diet and you be hitting 7.50 in no time. :)
Bro, I don’t know what a lot of this terminology means, but i can appreciate it. You guys know your stuff and it’s fascinating. I really enjoy how passionate you and your team are about your car and it’s improvements. Bit late to the party, but I have subscribed cause y’all feel like some really nice and passionate people. Respect from New Zealand :)
Dude I got so happy for you even though I don’t personally know you. Been here since the tire shop days with Charlie. So hyped up thanks for all the memories Kyle.
I grew up in a day where swapping LS or K series was not ok among car guys(basically anything that was not on brand was frowned upon, accept for crate motor GM 350's into oldshool Fords haha)... these are strange times, but I love it! The reason I follow this channel is because the 2nd gen MR2. thats how it started anyway.. you guys kick ass, I don't think I've missed a drop in 2years at least
Ive mentioned it several times, the mr2 needs a hatch cover that makes it more like a fastback. You will cut down on drag, the air will be more stable going over the rear wing and stabilizing the car on the top end. Have any doubts, look at the Shelby Daytona coupe.....They made those changes for a reason and they worked!
So proud of you guys at the Boostedbioz camp!!! Kyle you need some more seat time to get yourself dialed in !!! Seat time is everything, as if it’s a extension of your arm. Let that MR2 be apart of you, bro💪🏼🔥🔥🔥❤️🙏🏻👍🏻
OMG BOYZ what an absolute WEAPON! Set a new MR-2 World Record and lifted b4 the line ! I remember a couple vidz back u showed us that silver MR-2, who at that time was saying how close to breaking into the 7's and possibly the MR-2 record books. But breaking into the high 7's will be the closest he gets to your 7.7 and #1 spot. So happy for you Boyz, all we need to top everything off is Wyatt's beast on the track making some licks!
Damn congratulations to all the Boiz all the hard work paid off and so proud Kyle making the choice to call it a night end off the night on a high, damn well done.
why not add a PWM controlled clutch valve instead of the valve you have now, have it hooked to the ECU and map it out.... beyond that, great work. smart decision to call it a night. and congrats on the record!
If you're not smiling like Kyle is when he starts reading that slip off, find a coffin you're dead. Seriously best content and so much effort into what you guys do that it's finally paying off in heaps
I love this MR2 project so much. Got my SW20 rev4 turbo sitting in the garage fixing her up making her the best daily and this just shows how well the car was built. And even though I love the 3sgte, I can still respect a nice K-swapped MR2
Congrats Kyle. The idea of an H pattern would be really good for all the reasons you touched on before. Especially being able to put the car in races/classes that it currently can't compete in because of the sequential.
Congratz on your successful pass(es)! Regarding your leave; the slipper system timing is set well but I think you need to take a look at where your clutch pedal engagement occurs. The slipper ramp is fine but it's including the clutch slaves' gap/play as part of that ramp time. Just adjust the clutch pedal and switch a little so engagement is right off the floor. Then, the slippers' ramp will match the clutch engagement profile.
Love seeing Jason out there , I grew up with his brother Julian , he always used to talk about the jbr family business in school, just crazy how small of a world were in
You definitely need to get a billet block and head in the MR2 so you don't have to worry about splitting the block in half or atleast take a stock block and put some Darton sleeves in it and CSS around the sleeves or concrete the entire block and run it dry and get a billet girdle for the bottom end and then put bigger head bolts in it and stud the entire block with atleast L19 studs if not the better ones but if you put that much time and money into a stock block might as well get a billet one and there is a few companies that make them now and if they don't I'm sure they would for you especially if you order a couple of them but I think Cleetus should introduce you to Steve Morris and maybe you could get him to make you one and he might even make one with water passages in it so you could use one for Drag and Drive events
Fantastic run chap. So good seeing you three at the track crushing records and achieving dreams. Good call on not running it again - live to drive another day.
Now your getting that launch dialed the MR2 is showing us all what it's really capable of, it's just been teasing us up until now😉. Great to see it ripping man especially with how far that car has come!
Hey Kyle adjust the clutch pedal where it dont have so much peddle before it grabs like Cletus did in Leroy with his slipper clutch. There is a video he posted explaining what the clutch guy told him. Basically dont have so much peeled before it slams.
bought some merch. can't believe how far you guys have came. I remember it felt like a year ago that you guys were taking donations to get Brent that new shop. Some of the best tuner content on the Tube.
Congratulations Kyle. You have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears and also tons of money into that car and it all has finally paid off. You can only go faster from here my man
Congrats man! It's been such a pleasure to see you guys building the foundation to get to the top and to stay there. MR2's might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure as hell is mine. Thanks for taking my childhood dream car to such a journey!
I can't remember if your e brake is hydraulic or cable but have you considered putting a line lock on the rear brakes to keep the car from rolling out? You could put it on a adjustable clutch switch
KYLE thanks! for the content from time when you bought the mr2 and had engine peace's all over the ground on the side of the road. To world's fastest and still improving. Congratulations.
Man been watching for years and am soooo hyped for these videos anymore. They help me get through my boring everyday life and makes me wanna go back to my highschool days of just messing around with cars and see what they'll do. Might just have to drop one of these Ks into something a little older and let her eat!!!
So proud of you bro, because of you I got into cars and went to School for Automotive. Been watching since I was in high school I'm 23 now. Always love how are willing to risk your vehicles for content. We are all here to support you and i know we are not done yet to better and faster cars🍻
I think parking it after they spent 3 or 4 runs with the track prep is short-sighted. One more full tilt pass is almost a requirement if you know it wasn't clean. I'd have a problem not knowing.
I wonder if you could make your clutch pedal have 2 stages, 1st fully depressed and 2nd riding near the clutch engagements for launches. Have it hit a button or something you can feel when you fully depress. Just a thought
16:00 you need some kind of interior light to find that handle and anything else you need in shut down. With how serious this car is, safety and quality of life things, like a fire suppression system, might save your life one day.

He'll yea
Just think if all 1 million subscribers showed up at the track to watch 😂
Str8 facts
They really are killing it!
Charlie who???
Love seeing how far this car has come!! Great work Boiz!
Can't wait for sho'nuff!
Need to have a side by side run of ShoNuff and the MR2
Tell him to wear a HANS. Can't be doing 180 without one, especially grabbing the parachute handle like that...
@@kingp00 it's not mandatory, he's not in a competition.

Thank you for believing in Kyle and supporting his crazy plans

I mean its logical brent is kyle's menthor afterall.and they shared the shop in the co headquarter
You got the fastest MR2 and kept the pop up headlights, congratulations 🥳🎉
pop up headlights are mandatory
The weight over the front end probably helps (at least a little) with reducing wheelies.
