Hey thanks for the insight, I'm based in Toronto, Canada and I graduated with a CS degree however I don't believe I learnt as much as I would've liked and i take accountaibility for that aswell. However I've also found interest in web dev (mainly frontend) but i don't know, theres so many streams of Compsci it stresses me out. I feel overwhelmed not having any internship experience and what not so I'm just working on my skills right now. Idk i'm just rambling but anyways thanks for the advice, I just found your channel and I'll definitely subscribe!

    Hello Cadams,
I just want to ask you a question about DSA. As a software engineer, is DSA really necessary to use in real-world scenarios, or is it just something we need to learn and understand for interviews? In real-life scenarios, how much do you actually use DSA in coding tasks?

Don't we need to solve leetcode or algorithms type questions for these jobs?

      Hey!
I’ve found that jobs that test on that are few and far between. Out of the 20 or so that I’ve interviewed at, I’ve only encountered one that did that.
90% of the time I’ve been given a practical “mini” app to build for them that involved the stack the company used. THAT along with verbal technical questions (non leet code, non CS heavy).
I think leet code & cs heavier questions are typically asked at FAANG and certain enterprise companies which I personally tend to avoid.
Hope this helps! More content very soon! :)
