Today we visited Lansingburgh which was originally a community on Troy's northern outskirts.
Abraham Jacob Lansing, who acquired the property in 1763, laid it out in lots and incorporated it in 1771. Lansingburgh was annexed to the City of Troy in 1900.

What a dump the burgh turned into, when I left there 40 years ago it was a nice family neighborhood. Now it's mostly absentee landlords who do minimal maintenance.
