holy moly you are a lifesaver! I'm doing my first ever cosplay and i want to do galadriel. I have never done anything like it as far as making accessories/props before so i had No idea what to do for the brooch and headpiece. thanks to you I'm gonna grab some Worbla and make my own! thanks so much for posting this!!
Sure! Ive also used epoxy Clay for some of my other cosplay builds and this is a great material as well! I usually use what i have at my workshop without buying new stuff if its not necessary 🙂
Hi, I love what you've done here. I am currently making a tauriel cosplay for a school project, it's my first time cosplaying and I was wondering if you would let me ask some questions about cosplaying in general and any tips and tricks you might share with me. Thanks
This came out amazing!! I'm curious though, did you make the template for the headpiece because i have been looking everywhere and i can't find a template and i want to surprise my friend and make it for her
+Guppy-chan Hi, thank you! Yes I drawed the template ind Adobe Illustrator. And I probably make a free pattern-download for the crown and the brooche. Hope I can find some time next week for that. But I definitly announce it on my facebook page. facebook.com/jakcosplay
I used some worbla leftovers, you can find a link in the discription. If you need the pattern you can find it on my facebook page (www.facebook.de/jakcosplay) in my galadriel folder :D
This is awesome, and thank you so very much for sharing the making off and the pattern. I have a question, though... what size should we print the brooch pattern?
Hiii, I would print it 1:1 (you can add a checkbox in your printing setup) I dont have the costume at home, but I guess the brooche is about 8-10cm wide :D
Hi Athina.... I designed it in Adobe Illustrator using screenshots as reference. You can download my pattern here for free: drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-XrQ_QzKgLSUJaVzdfNDRkNXM/view?usp=sharing
Hi its the simplicity 1551 pattern which includes both dresses of galadriel from the hobbit movies :D www.simplicity.com/simplicity-pattern-1551-misses-costumes/1551.html
+Aiden Monday Hi Aiden, my grandmother taught me how to sew as I was little. You can find a lot of good youtube tutorials for beginners on youtube. Patience and Practise is all it takes :D I also get better and better with each costume I create :D
Hello! This will be my next cosplay project so your video is a huge help! I have two questions : 1) Where did you buy your elf ears? 2) Where have you bought your wig? Thanks in advance! Keep up your amazing cosplays! :)
+Galadriel Herrin von Lothlórien Hi it´s called Worbla! You can buy it in different online-shops (take a look at the video description) for more information :D
Hi... I used Worblas Finest Art from cast4art. But its probably easierer with their new material called worblasBlackArt. Its a thermoplastic which melts with a heatgun, as soon as the material is cold again, it is not longer flexible and stays in the shape.
Hi, the rhinestones are from amazon. Not sure if you can get them in every country, but the brand is called rayher :D www.amazon.de/RAYHER-15130801-Hotfix-Strasssteine-Gr%C3%B6%C3%9Fenmix-bergkristall/dp/B004P1RLIE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1510360638&sr=8-2&keywords=stra%C3%9Fsteine+hotfix
+Mamma Bear Hi, what do you want to now? Which material I used for the crown and brooche? Maybe take a look in the description, there you can find my materials and links :D
Ich weiß nicht, ob du es schon irgendwo hier geschrieben hast und ich es überlesen habe, aber ich frage trotzdem mal: Könntest den Stoff verlinken, den du für das Kleid benutzt hast? Mega schön 😍
So you need to know which material I used for the bracelet right? Its called "Worblas Finest Art" ... you can order it at mycostumes.de It comes in sheets and it gets flexible and soft with a heatgun about 80 degree celsius...
Ive been wanting to do a Lady Galadriel, and am so in love with this tutorial!
+WickedSystem Thank you... hope you enjoying it as much as I did :D
This is amazing! What skill you have to make everything! You must be so proud of your creations!
+Peace&Cookies〉(^_^)〈 Aww thanks... It is definitly one of my favorite dresses and I am really proud of it, cause it fits perfectly :D
+Jak Cosplay You're welcome! That's wonderful!! :D

I just LOVE how you made her jewellery! Great job! Did you actually wear it to a convention or something like that? :) I'm sure you looked amazing :)
Thank you. Yes I weared it several times now cause I like the dress so
much ^^ You can find a lot of pictures on my facebook page :D
omg, this is amazing!! And such a live saver!
Thanks ❤️
Hi, thanks I'm dying to try this. Worblas is horrendously expensive for us in South Africa. Do you think polymer clay might work instead?
Sure! Ive also used epoxy Clay for some of my other cosplay builds and this is a great material as well! I usually use what i have at my workshop without buying new stuff if its not necessary 🙂
@@JakCosplay Thank you

Thank you for your feedback! :D

www.simplicity.com/simplicity-pattern-1551-misses-costumes/1551.html
How did you attach the brooch to the dress?
With a needlepin... I glued it to the back :D
That's soooo cool! I would really like to learn how to sew...is it hard?
+Aiden Monday Hi Aiden, my grandmother taught me how to sew as I was little. You can find a lot of good youtube tutorials for beginners on youtube. Patience and Practise is all it takes :D I also get better and better with each costume I create :D
+Jak Cosplay Thanks, Jak ^^ I'll try!
The jewel should be transparent/white, not yellow right?
I think it's technically mother of pearl?
Hello! This will be my next cosplay project so your video is a huge help! I have two questions :
1) Where did you buy your elf ears?
2) Where have you bought your wig?

Hi, I bought the ears at the etsy-shop called "Madhouse FX Studio" and the wig is from wigisfashion

Hi, what kind of materials u used for the head piece, I see u used some type of heater... Tks 😇
Hi... I used Worblas Finest Art from cast4art. But its probably easierer with their new material called worblasBlackArt. Its a thermoplastic which melts with a heatgun, as soon as the material is cold again, it is not longer flexible and stays in the shape.
Amazing! Where did you get the gem stones for the front of the dress? And I see they are iron on. Very clever!

Do you by any chance have a stencil of the leafy parts of the brooch? The ones that you traced onto the worbla and cut out?
