TO HORKON

The "Horkon" is an original Cypriot sketch written by Debbie Riga and sponsored by the Pampahian Association of America. The play was directed by Petros Petrides and performed by his theater toupe. The play was staged in Astoria Ne3w York in 1997.

It is so brilliant to hear the Cypriot dialect alive and well in New York. It is like hearing my yiayia again. She sadly passed away following the Turkish invasion in l974.
