It's OK to be slow at a new job. What's good is that you observed his technique afterwards and realized what you did wrong. It's probably because you've been working at ice cream shops for so long. I wouldn't have thought to look at the person's technique. It probably would have taken me a long time to figure out. If I ever get another job that requires me to prepare any type of food, I'll remember to observe the person's technique.

I have a question let's say if someone has allergies to say treenuts,mangoes and papaya come in and order an icecream with sprinkles is there any risks of Cross-contamination between flavors do you or others used same scooper for all of them or a different one for ppl with serve allergies
I would probably label stuff. I used to work at a ice cream parlor and I would have to scoop stuff frozen to the bottom of the barrel. It was not fun. My arm would always be sore after shifts and sometimes not using your dominant had to scoop was hard because your other arm was sore. But we would get left over ice creams that were messed up.
Did anyone else think that it was satisfying when they were scooping the ice cream?Btw remember nobody’s perfect weather you can’t scoop ice cream into pints or you can’t draw good you are as perfect as you need to be!☕️👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
