    • @pslovekandy
      @pslovekandy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I just direct them to contact their lender as they are usually the ones requesting the appraisal on the property. The pictures and information I notate on the property are forwarded to GroundWorks, which in turn are given to an actual appraiser to conduct the appraisal report.

    Thanks for this video. Just applied for GW. Here in Houston, their interior inspections are $70. Did you negotiate a rate in order to get $90? Or did they need the order completed asap and offer that $90 rate? Thanks in advance.

    • @pslovekandy

      Most of the interiors I complete are $75. They offer $90 for the Fannie Mae orders, this will generally be listed somewhere one the order when you accept and open it up. I have tried to negotiate for a higher rate, but have not been successful in it...yet.

    My problem in my city is a soon as it comes up on the graph bored and you go and check out the details the order is gone by now 😩😫😫 I also did an interior inspection and I ended up not doing it right for them LOL I am so afraid of them. It was a two-story duplex if that makes sense and I didn’t know I was supposed to do both sides and it was just so confusing because the top was smaller than the bottom and I just made a whole mess lol

    • @pslovekandy
      @pslovekandy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In that case you would have measured the interior wall connecting to the other home. Even if the upstairs is smaller than the downstairs, you can measure the interior wall. They don't expect you to have a ladder to climb up there to measure from the outside. Did you ask them for feedback? That would help you for the next time you complete work orders with them.

    Do you need to be an experience inspector or real estate agent to get hired??

    • @pslovekandy
      @pslovekandy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You don't need to be experienced in order to begin. A field inspector is totally different than being a real estate agent. You aren't selling/showing a property to a client, rather, you are going into their home taking pictures of every room, notating improvements, repairs, and damages, and making a quick diagram (floor plan) of their home. You are an independent contractor performing a task on behalf of another company. The information and pictures you provide on your report are usually used for desktop appraisals. The actual home appraiser will look at your work and based their decision on that...plus their own findings.
