This team checks out when things become difficult. They're philosophy is oh well...we will prepare and play better next time.

I wonder if that’s why he initially became a fan growing up? Maybe he realized the thing he wanted to have himself( not being too sensitive, always competing and just being a dog miss or make) that he didn’t yet have was something that Kobe Alwyas embodied you know?
So he works his whole career on mimicking Kobes physical style and moves, but the thing maybe he actually wanted to mimic the most is something that can’t be done just by copying and mastering moves. That can only be done by really listening to Kobe explain his mentality, and then working with an energy worker and clinical sports psychologist and therapists and doing the actual somatic and mental training practices that it takes for someone to shift from an over thinker with high sensitivity to a balanced and peaceful “comfortable with the uncomfortable” beast.
And to give credit where it’s due, LeBron has to be the closest I’ve personally followed of a player who naturally was really sensitive and anxious in some moments, but learned how to find comfort and acceptance while feeling that way. And it didn’t happen until he was faced with rock bottom after the Miami Dallas seires. That’s when we finally saw him embracing doing the things he wasn’t naturally gifted at. And decades later we will see loving the jump shot and off ball play. But prior to that he would always revert to his comfort zone in the big moments. But it’s really cool because he came back and knocked down those like 8 jumpers/3s In thst game 7 vs the spurs and it all came full circle.

Without SGA and the season Chet was injured… Also the Cavs game that was tied at the end of regulation but Grant Williams was fouled. All he had to do was make 1 free throw and the Celtics would’ve won, but he missed both and they ended up losing in OT.
Been saying this all along, but Tatum would be lucky to win 1 championship, as the number 1 star on a team. This might be his best chance with the talented roster, but might still be short or barely make it with him “leading”

Contrast that with Curry this year in Boston heaving a full court shot at the half-time buzzer...and making it.

I've been said he cares about stats and the recognition. Remember he didnt accept the pass from derrick white at the emd of the shot clock so he can avoid a turnover on his stat sheet? Even though its a team turnover. He also tried to keep pace with brown. So if Brown got hot starts, tatum would start commanding the ball and try doing too much. He cares too much about his stats

When he is aggressive he’s great but when he’s passive aggressive he is a B- player smh. The Celtics go as far as Tatum decides to go…

Playing hard is not a game plan. It's just playing hard. The Celtics don't seem to have that consistently.
My blame pie is:
Brown - 60 percent
Tatum - 20 percent
Luke - 10 percent
white - 5 percent
Mazzula - 5 percent
Browns play at the end of the second quarter changed the game. Tatum did some good things but can’t make shots. Luke was just awful. And coach mazzulla has to figure out the pulse of the team. Hard to do as coach after coach can’t seem to do it . I thought the previous coach had it with that second half of the season surge but way to many forfeits.
The one thing no one understands is Orlando plays absolutely rugged Defense. Them and Minnesota are the best. Orlando can play 4 guys that are 6’10 or bigger at a time. They are the biggest team in the NBA. The Cavs playing them for 7 games have got them accustomed to playing against tough defense.
Knicks as well. I’ll say the Knicks have the most rugged defense in the east than Orlando and Philly.

John is wrong. The Celtics have played hard 5 out of the seven games they played. When they don't play hard, they will lose. And they will lose this this series if they don't play hard

Over the last 2 years Boston is 3-5 vs Cleveland. If Cleveland doesn't get cold Boston will come home down 1 game to 3. Cleveland has no pressure at all. Cleveland won their Season at game 7 vs. Orlando. Cleveland only fears New York. Cleveland has a High level NBA defense that held the Boston offense under 100 points this game. Mobley's confidence is on high levels after this game. There is no answer for Mitchell. Boston is in big trouble.

The biggest thing is Cleveland has an absolutely crazy home court. Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse makes Miami home court look like a Sunday mass. Plus it’s a Saturday nite game at 830. That arena is going to be insane. Boston better be ready because I promise all the fear that the Cavs may have had is long gone.

Tatum is not the best version of himself in big moments more often than not. That is the issue.
I only occasionally watch the show but I’m surprised you’ve never noticed the JT not talking directly about JB thing, if this is the first time you’re talking about it-Jayson NEVER compliments jb or even really talks about him directly, at least the last few years. This loss was bad and frustrating and I’m not trying to give them a pass for their effort and performance but I love how this garden report and fans get so bent out of shape on this team and always wanna bring up how tough the 08 team was but they seem to forget that that 08 team went 7 games in each of their 1st two rounds, especially against an 8 seed Atlanta Hawks team.. couldn’t win a game on road until the ECF because they absolutely had to bc they blew a home game to the pistons… y’all were all worried bout that squad too 🤷🏾♂️

Brown’s defense is overrated. Can be outstanding when he gets an assignment and embraces it with physical one on one defense but when he disengages he stands straight up. He isn’t a neck turner either and gets lost in screen actions on and off the ball and is late on close outs.
