As we begin our journey, I share with you the fascinating history of this revered Gurudwara. Harmandir Sahib, also known as Darbar Sahib, was initially built in the middle of the holy Amrit Sarovar, and later adorned with 24 layers of gold sheets by Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji, using more than 400 kg of gold. This transformation earned it the name Swarn Mandir or Golden Temple.
The beauty and grandeur of the Golden Temple are truly breathtaking, and as we explore its various parts, you'll get to witness the intricate architecture and the serene atmosphere that makes it one of the most sacred places of worship for Sikhs all over the world.
But our journey doesn't end there. Just a stone's throw away from the Golden Temple lies Jallianwala Bagh, a place that is deeply intertwined with the Indian Freedom Movement. In 1919, a tragic massacre occurred here, and I take you on a poignant tour of this historical site, reliving the events that transpired on that fateful day.
After experiencing the solemnity of Jallianwala Bagh, we return to the Golden Temple to witness its stunning night view. As the sun sets, the temple takes on a whole new persona, with its illuminated dome reflecting off the tranquil waters of the surrounding Sarovar.

Very informative nice video. There are many more historical Gurudwara Sahib in the surrounding area of Golden temple. There is a Mughal Empire throne placed near Langar hall in Ramgarhia Bunga,which was bought here by great Sikh worrier Jassa Singh Ramgarhia. Who dragged this throne from Delhi .
