I noticed in previous comment you mentioned it’s very hard to get into reverse when delete kit is installed,Is it just a simple slap into reverse while trying to park. And if it’s so hard to get into reverse how is it possible to go into reverse while simply driving. Just want to know before I purchase your kit, thanks
It's not hard to get into revers "with" the kit installed. It's hard "without" it installed. Yes, it would be difficult to get it to accidentally go into reverse while driving with the reverse lockout removed but not impossible. Not to the point where you would need to worry about it.
thats not cool,i dont understand how plugging up the reverse block out would keep you from downshifting from 6th into 5th and almost going into rev,im putting my T56 in my blazer with a cammed 6.0,people told me to wire it to my brake lights,or brake pedals, then i heard it can still try to mess up,so you installed this kit dude and when your driving,do you almost hit rev when shifting, help me out her haha,i was going to run a toggle switch so each time i wanna back up i flip the toggle you know, what is the best route ? you know more than me lol, holler back ok,thanks man
Well I would equate it to the “caution coffee is hot” type warnings you see on a coffee cup. It’s designed to prevent you from accidentally putting the car in reverse when shifting into 5th gear. It’s almost impossible to do but I guess some people do this from time to time so they put this into the design to try and make idiot proof. If you think you might accidentally shift into reverse then maybe you keep yours in tact. Not implying anything just trying to explain why it’s there.
@@SikkyTV LOL man, thanks for the reply. That was my thinking too. I purchased an LS T56 that was converted to LT T56 first thing i did was back it out of the driveway so it seems the spring has already been modified , maybe later i'll just remove the whole thing. It's hooked up to an old school 327 so no electronics. Now i need to figure out what I'm going to do for a speedo.
I just got a question what’s the point ? I mean aren’t you supposed to have to keep you from going into R or race mode on the highway? I’m asking cause I broke the reverse lockout plug on mine putting a new clutch in
Yeah so it's there as a safety net but same concept as McDonalds putting "caution hot coffee" on a coffee cup. not needed. There is no reason to hit R going down the highway and it can make it tough to get in reverse for swapped cars.
Deleted cags allows for quicker smoother shifts. Reverse lockout delete is more of a benefit for a swap scenario where the trans is installed in a car not normally equipped with that trans and reverse lockout solenoid isn’t wired up. If you don’t wire that solenoid up it makes shifting into reverse very difficult.
If delete reverse lock out solenoid would be difficult to reverse on T56?
Dope. getting this for the e46.
Well the backup camera still work if I install your tags and reverse lockout Eliminator kit I have a 2022 Dodge Challenger
That is a very good question. Please send question to sales@sikky.com and someone can let you know

I have one of theses and a mgt shifter. When casual shifting I select reverse when going to 5th :/

Where is the kit on your website?
Here www.sikky.com/product-category/transmission-parts/
I just installed a skip shift eliminator on my 6 speed
Awesome! How do you like it so far?
@@SikkyTV it actually is taking a little getting used to lol but I like it it's way better going 1st to 2nd not 1st to 4th
So the reverse lockout is not necessary? that would save me a huge headache .

No prob! Yeah if it went in super easy it’s either wired up or already disabled.
