The dog robots have a very artistic performance. And the humanoid robots have some very fluent movements.

They had automatons way back and would have been pretty much awed by these new robots. To be frank automatons were actually more impressive given that they were all mechanical.

Surtout quand on pense à toutes les applications qui pourront être faites de ces technologies, tant dans le domaine militaire (pour ne pas risquer la vie des soldats) qu'en médecine / chirurgie (bien meilleure précision qu'avec un chirurgien humain), ou dans la lutte anti-incendie, ou dans la conquête spatiale... (et très probablement bien d'autres applications encore).

Boston Dynamics have completely mastered the human body's biomechanics, and it is only a matter of time before they create robots that are absolutely indistinguishable from real human beings in both physicality and intellect. What a time to be alive. Boston Dynamics is at the cutting edge of scientific advancement. I cannot wait to see what they create next.
The big issue would be in devising robot movement that takes human error and safety into account. Most real robots are placed behind safety barriers for a good reason. To protect human operators and bystanders from injury. A simple example of the safety measures needed would be like the failsafe mechanism on elevator doors and automatic doors in shopping malls.
Once you implement such measures then you have to worry about these robots interfacing with people in a public space. How do you prevent vandalism or people delaying or stopping these robots in the course of the assigned tasks ? This is like the early days of escalators in shopping malls. Security staff had to be assigned to prevent unsupervised children messing around on these escalators when they were first introduced. This social nuisance has reduced considerably since these escalators are now old technology and no longer a source of novelty or curiosity.
Something similar may happen with robots in time.

@@jgdooley2003 well combine this with some of tech like Tesla's safety systems and you are almost there. Even with lidar and just a freeze function it could become relatively save. Of course I'm over simplifying it, but you get the point.

The military sure knows!!!!!!!!!!! No empathy no feelings the perfect solder.
I don't think they have any advantage over us regarding strength and agility. Because the parts they are assembled of, are highly specialized. There are motors, shafts, gears and so on. And only motor windings together with magnets actually produce force. All the other mecanical stuff just directs and distributes it. On the other hand, our orhans can take several functions at the same time. For example, muscles are not only responsible for the strength, but also protect underlying organs, hold bones together and provide some elasticity for our bodies, making them not fragile. All this results in greater efficiency and power-to-mass rstio.

Very clearly real, to perfectly match the lighting and reflections on the robot to the background would be nearly impossible. Even with the best software and rendering engines available it would take more effort to fake the robots dancing than it would to actually make them.
No actually, it's not. It's quite easy to tell the difference. Many CGI experts have looked at this.
It's not CGI. These robots have done demonstrations in from of live people, too.
