Can you please do a video on the evil within games?
Why are you not at least 10 million subs yet? You are one of the OGs. You are pretty much the best in your field! Let me guess.. Views for days, but somehow they can't get their finger to hit that damn button!? All kidding aside, I believe you will break it this year! I'm rooting for you!
Can you do a video about the cryptids from lost tapes please
No disrespect. I love your videos. Those lobsters are called lobstrosties
Watch zombiverse i wanna see how many glitches your brain gets just from the first episode it's 8 in total I'm half through 4 but I'm just watching cuz I'm hoping for at least 1 redeemable quality it's on netflix 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is one of my favourite movies! What’s interesting is the ending to this movie. In the film adaptation, the ending was more controversial and a bleak conclusion compared to the novella but, was better than the books ending. Stephen King himself has expressed appreciation for the film’s ending, stating that he thought it was an improvement over his own ending in the novella.
What’s also interesting in Stephen King’s novel the main character, David Drayton, hears fragments on the radio indicating that a military group has set up a safe zone in Hartford, Maryland. This suggests that the mist has indeed spread over a significant area, encompassing regions from Maine to Pennsylvania, including New York City.
Imagine being in NYC as this is happening holy crap.
Honestly out of all of these creatures that New Yorkers have to deal with it will definitely be the spiders and Spider-Man won’t be there to protect you from them.🐱
Being in NYC why this stuff was happening would suck I would say anyone in the inner city would have no chance, but imagine trying to clear out the city I would say it would be better to just burn the city to the ground at that point there's no way they could get the whole city clear
*Silent Hill theme plays*
@@topcat59 The Mist is just an average day in NYC to be fair lol
@@gears6112 It’s super densely populated so you’re 100% correct
The Mist has its origins in a Lovecraft story called “From Beyond,” where a man visits his friend / scientist who has a portal that activists a gland in your brain that allows you to see creatures that exist in just a layer of existence out of sync with ours…. Unfortunately those creatures can also see him back.
There's also a movie about that. It's... trippy.
@@StrangeCreedwhat’s it called!
*You have gained insight
@@bryantmarquez2258 *From Beyond.* The director also adapted The Reanimator.
@@StrangeCreed Yeah, that movie is wild but I do love Jeffrey Combs as an actor.
Do you guys think the reason the Arachni-Lobsters only eat the top half is because as humans when we eat lobsters we only eat the bottom half (and claws)
I eat the shell and all.
very interesting hypothesis
Most fisherman eat it whole and whole is good especially when you do a Cajun seafood boil.
Interesting. I just thought it's because they have poor dexterity but I prefer your insight
Ur definitely ain't the one thinking Abt that
I do feel bad for the main character of this movie too for when he sees his wife wrapped up in the webs knowing she didnt even get a quick death an the fact that she had to suffer the same way so many others did an he couldn't even give her a quick death
Yep. A haunting sight indeed. Specially the kids in the school bus.
You especially feel bad for him in the ending. The movie was so good up until the ending do to hiw irrational and unlikely something like that would happen in such a dramatic fashion even force movie.
@@JohnnyDominionit’s fairly realistic. Not everything can be butterflies and rainbows. The ending fits the theme of the movie and has a lot of meaning to it
@Churros_are_Overrated I am not looking for butterflies and rainbows. It made no sense whatsoever if the army was clearing out the monsters in the Mist we would have clearly heard or the very least seen the signs of battle earlier on. Especially against the much bigger monster you would definitely hear them fighting against them. Nothing about that was realistic, if David killed them all then was killed by the surrounding monsters that would be a different story but no he does that and bam the day is saved like that out of the blue. It was ctedp shock value and was built up horribly.
@@JohnnyDominionYou wouldn't necessarily hear it i think, more exactly your brain would filter things that are happening when you're in a situation this intense or something
This movie had the biggest D-kick ending. It was changed from the book ending. Stephan King actually liked this ending more than his own. That's the highest praise a movie adaptation can get.
The lady in the store said there needs to be sacrifices the ones shot in the end in the suv was the final sacrifices to end the Mist it was the only way to stop it.
@@GoatzombieBubba Horizon initiative
Nope thats just religious bollocks.
Eventually she would of turned the others on each other by making out one or more are sinners and should be sacrificed. People like that only care for themselves.@@GoatzombieBubba
I hated the ending. It made no sense to me, and now that I'm a father it makes even less sense that he would risk everything to escape with his son, and then just kill him. Not in a million years could I ever shoot my son, and even if all hope seemed lost I would fight to the very end to give him a chance of surviving.
@@chameleonx9253that's you. Each person is different, and crazy differently too. One family will agree to a quick and physically painless death, a family that will have mixed thoughts on it, and a family that will fight through, a family that will only care about oneself, and possibly sabotage each other to save oneself. It makes sense because it's also about humanity, and humanity couldn't be any more different. You wouldn't do this, others will
Fun fact: the private is played by Sam Witwer, the voice of Darth Maul from The Clone Wars series (and also The Son).
And a zombie in season one of the walking dead (the one in the Tank)
And Starkiller in The Force Unleashed video games
also days gone protagonist, deacon st john
Don’t forget Being Human folks
Sam Witwer is one of the best voice actors I’ve ever heard he’s one of my favorites and he’s pretty easy to recognize in all of his works
The scary part is the widower isn't all that far from real life... The Tarantula Hawk wasp acts VERY similar to those little bastards.
The scary part is the people that have the best interest in mind and are not the only people that are affected are those that have a very strong interest and are able and able and able and able in their lives.
I think the Arachna Lobster prefers the upper portion of the body because that is where all of our vital organs are held, not to mention our brains as well.
So technically, it would be receiving more meat.
It's missing out some juicy thighs though

Yeah #5 would be amazing if he covered it!
Honestly, if it was like the movie, you could just hide in a basement for a while and wait for the military (assuming you either expected them and/or were patient enough). Your only problem would be the Behemoth which could accidentally crush you.
Nah spiders or some other kind of creature would easily overcome your area of defense. In the store you at least had other people to help/ be killed by the creatures.
I think a tank or BMP will protect you from everything in this movie. Just that behemoth is only threat
@@bismarckrathod5890yep, America has the most guns per person in the world, i think this scenario would be more fun than horrific for a lot of people
@@bismarckrathod5890 Those huge claw thingies seem to also be capable of ripping the tank open like a tin can but I'm just guessing here.
@@chadwarden593 pfff fun...sure Buddy sure murikhans would have fun in those Spider nests...
This is one where there's literally no "See, my idea would work because-" because nothing! These things stopped being such a problem because the portal was sealed but if it kept going there was no surviving it
Have we ruled out bullet, because a tank ride through the mist sounds fun.
idk, it really depends on if we can stop the mist or not, cause the biggest issue is the lack of vision, if we can see the threats we would be able to kill most of these fairly easily with small arms alone and only need heavier weapons for the big boys. like if we are not caring about collateral damage a firebombing campaign could both help clear the mist and stop the spread of both the creatures and the mist.
oh for civilians they are dead, the military probably could deal with it if it was contained to a local area, or even a spreading issue, so long as its not absurdly fast (like covering the whole country in a week)
if it was slow enough people would be able to prepare and maybe even set up proper defenses.
I mean if we really want to chemical and biological weapons are available and some should work seeing as the bugs with neurotoxin have that for a reason and you don't evolve something like that if everything in your universe is immune to it.
it isn't magic (presumably), the mist will dissipate once it gets far enough from its origin. outside of that the military could contain the worst issues and many of the things that _could_ escape (flying creatures, creatures small enough to crawl out through the sewage/drainage systems before they are locked down) could be dealt with pretty easily in a place where we could see.
Humans are nothing if not adaptable to "not today, Satan" types of things. We'd get a swift kick in the nuts, sure, but there is no way that the Military Industry of several countries would fail against this. Unless the "mist", itself, is metaphysical, we already have tech which can "see" through it. We'd be able to push a convoy through to the epicenter and seal the breach, I have no doubt.
@@speedy01247 That's only if we close the portal as long as there's more of these things pouring out there's no stopping them. We humans like to make one crucial mistake when thinking of monsters and they are dumb and incapable of learning. Just as we humans can refine our methods so can the monsters. Once these monsters learn that guns are threats they'll overwhelm any group of people carrying them.
Guy who got infested with spiders had probably the worst death I can think of in any horror franchise. Xenomophs seems more merciful at least it's quick
What sucks about that death is he wasn't the only one. The wife and even Children got that death.
Not to mention the horrible acid burns from the widows caustic webs from being caught and wrapped up like a burrito
@@derrickhageman1969 creatures designed to make you suffer. Is how I best describe them.

Yeah that one was disgusting and terrifying like your alive the entire time.
My man I have been waiting for an in-depth look at the creatures of The Mist for awhile now. This was one of the many movies that inspired me to create some of my own strange creatures, specific ones being the Behemoth and Tentacle creature. Hope to see more monster analysis videos in the future.
I'm actually interested to see how the monster in the mist would do against over franchises creatures
Id say depends- they're basically just animals but extreme. Closest franchise I can make a parallel to would be aliens and xenomorphs would destroy the mist creatures.
Like to see Batman vs The Mist.
Mist creatures vs scp 096 or instead whatever scp is “the flesh that hates”
Mist vs the flood Mist vs necromorphs
Not too well I'd imagine. While they are scary, aside from the tentacle monster and tree walker, everything is just animals. Just as easy to kill as a dog, bird, or cat.
@@scottieman2That really wouldn't be fair. Just Batman running around on a murder spree safari.
That's Godzilla VS Bambi tier. The reason the mist monsters are scary, is because they are up against regular schlubs.
Not sure if I’ve mentioned these previously in that big list, but some more potential you wouldn’t survive scenarios:
1.) The Cycle (Worm)
2.) The Scorching (Wings of Fire)
3.) Temporal Anomalies (Primeval)
4.) The Chimera Ants (Hunter x Hunter)
5.) Gold Morning (Worm)
6.) The Annihilation Wave (Marvel)
7.) The zombie outbreak (DCeased)
8.) Vampire takeover (Most Settings)
9.) Chaos (Warhammer Fantasy/40k)
I would love to see an entry on Worm.

@@renalanf0rd well sure, and the grey widows as well.
Actually to me the scariest came from the tv show.
There was this moment, where this straight up biblical horseman like monster showed up. Something that to me, seemed to have more than animalistic intelligence.
@@BlindCoyoteGod never watched the show, so never knew about it
@@yapyapthedestroyer2562 I watched the whole season 1 when it was kinda new to Netflix. I personally liked it, and it was cancelled around that time which was disappointing, but it wasn’t particularly good, and outside of the horsemen moment, I don’t think particularly memorable either.
But I think it had potential. I don’t think the ideas in the show were bad, moreso the execution that was the problem. It just wasn’t written very well.
The Mist was one of my favorite movies growing up alongside the Feast trilogy and From Dusk til Dawn
Minds as well
I don’t know. In the film the military rocked up in around two days and fixes everything. Plus McBride was able to cross the entire town, find her kids, and reach the military. So survival seems fairly high.
If you luck is high, and didn't ran into any Predator,or the Massive Abomination that wander around

The fact that "Carol" survived with her kids actually make sense.
They opened a portal/rift(presumably Small at first, but eventually growing, big enough to let the Behemoth through.
Either way, while the Mist quickly pours through, like water, the creatures would have to find their way themselves. So it stands to reason, that the quicker you left the store, the fewer creatures would be out there at that time. The longer you wait you just have to face more and bigger creatures.
i hope im not the only one who thinks the mist would be a really good survival horror game
Let’s make one
Hmm, a Game where fog covers a town and that brings monsters? I definitely like that idea

Man I love your “Why you wouldn’t survive” series bro. Keep it up! 👍
The short story is absolutely brilliant! I love the movie adaptations ending, gets you right in the gut.
Do Threads.
If you dont know what Threads is (free on TH-cam) The US made a movie in the 80s called The day after. John Lithgow, Steven Guttenberg. Actually quite good for a TV movie. Its about total nuclear war and its effects. Its stark, realistic, and grim. Then, the BBC saw it, and said "Hold my Beer" And now we have Threads.
The ending of this movie was just such a sucker punch in the nuts. 10/10
Always love your videos! Hopefully in the near future we'll get those new 28 years later movies that were just announced bc I can't wait to watch your coverage on why you wouldn't survive it!
See I don't 100% agree, there is a lot of reasons the mist monsters are fairly easily containable.
The issue in "The Mist" is disorganization, infighting, lack of prepration and lack of proper supplies.
Being stuck in a glass fronted convience store is not the same as being stuck in a home depot or a gun store.
In their position I would have gotten jackets or other external clothing and soak them in bleach. Then once they dry wrap myself in them (along with a mask or something)
Bleach is a strong enough stink to hide my delicious human smell, which makes me not prey and a nice wooden shield wrapped in bleach soaked cloth along with goggles would keep off corrosive webbing away from my vulnerable face.
These things are predators, they won't bother with something that doesn't smell like prey.
Its also worth noting that although they sealed themselves in, they did not turn out all the lights. This attracted the bugs which attracted the dactyls. The group frequently made tons of noise as well. So of course the area would be a hotspot for the monsters.
Except I think it'd be your movement that catches thier eye.
Considering the webbing those spiders shoot out was corrosive enough to immediately start melting the floor I don't think those goggles would last you too long.
@@lazyprinny3265 they are hunting in a dense mist, they are more likely hunting by smell. And even if they see you if you smell unappetizing and aren't being threatening they likely won't bother you. Predators don't like to waste energy.
@@DominionSorcerer granted, but the idea is if they are hit they can be quickly removed before I lose my eyes rather than just get hit in the eyes.
Knowing humanity, we'd find a way to ride the Behemoths and make the Gray Widowers pay taxes
Saw this in theaters with my parents and dang ive never seen an ending like the Mist before. Greatest conversation drive home
The only ones that might survive the Mist, Doom Guy, 40K Marines, Master Chief, Delta Squad from Star Wars, Gordon Freeman.
It's the damn music in the final 15 mins that just elevated this film into complete classic level for me. It's an absolute gem and a great monster horror that dealt with the harrowing effects a cataclysm would have on society.
Oh! Do “The Stand” next as a why you wouldn’t survive! It would also kick off a killer Kingverse “why you wouldn’t” series
I think COVID proved we'd all die since someone would spread a plague for a haircut.
Actually silent hill fog was created due to a hardware/software limitation where the PS1 could only render so far without reducing game quality.
One major mistake the people made in the film was not blacking out the lights with curtains or any sort of material. They could have easily retreated towards the warehouse and kept the lights confined to deeper within where they would not be seen and prevented the cascade of deaths as a result of the monsters breaking through the barriers/glass.
Was not expecting this, but I’m ready to see it!

when some of the creatures broke into the store they seemed fine without the mist for at least a few minutes, no idea how long they can live without it.
@@B1-997depends on a few factors but I may be able to give an estimate based on my experience with fishkeeping. So switching a saltwater fish into freshwater or freshwater into saltwater can take up to an hour to show obvious signs of distress due to metabolic differences meaning saltwater fish cannot retain a required level of salt in their bodies when placed in freshwater due to being too good at filtering excess salt and similarly with freshwater but being too bad at it to cope, though death can take up to 12 or 24hrs, some species will drop after the first hour but others may even live to see the second day if they're not returned to the correct environment as quickly as possible. So... That means that the mist in the movie could 100% have traces of some chemical compound in it that is deadly to humans if the event had lasted longer then a couple days and could kill the creatures off after I'd say, two or three days max of being deprived of whatever they're breathing, so entering a building that is compromised and chilling in it for a few minutes wouldn't cause any harm, though sealing one in a room after it's broken in and sealing whatever access it had to the outside would probably have the thing squirming within a few hours
If you really wanna know how I know how long it takes to off a saltwater fish in freshwater, there was a disaster at a local fish store and a hose was accidentally left on overnight, that was maybe around 12hrs and they lost the entire collection of coral for sale but only a few of the display fish that were in the tank since they are less sensitive organisms and yes, they still have some of those fish months later, so unfortunately I do know that changing from one environment to another isn't an instant death sentence for every species and the creatures of The Mist also appear fairly hardy so it's possible they might actually outlast a human with environmental shifts- though the mist in the movie might also be simply due to changes in atmospheric temperature, moisture or pressure, in which case, humans might outlast most of them as they may rely on ambient moisture similarly to real land based isopods (which are luckily tiny and harmless) and if so, their real counterparts can dessicate within an hour of being removed from a moist enough environment and there's no possible way the creatures can adapt quickly enough to survive a dryer atmosphere so at that point it's a waiting game humanity would win. Toxic air though, is a waiting game humanity would lose as closing the gate would only cut off the supply but not prevent continued buildup from what's leftover and since we have no idea if it is actually toxic, we have no idea how much is a fatal dose or how long until symptoms present
Hopefully this wasn't too long to read and at least interesting, OP's comment and your reply pipped my interest so I might nerd a bit much ^^' have a good day, don't get eaten by any interdimensional insects

Man the Mist, like a lot of King adaptations really stuck with me when I watched it a few years ago
I would survive because tanks and flame throwers are extremely loud and I would've heard it long before mercy killing myself and everyone around me.
God I hate the ending so much.
But seriously though: you seem to have left out the fact that when the military arrives you see the mist is dissipating as the soldiers walk through it, which implies one of two things:
A.) The mist is actually a byproduct of the monsters themselves, which means that culling the monsters gets rid of the meaning we simply need to kill them.
B.) The military successfully closed the portal in the Project Arrowhead facility or otherwise contained the spread of at least the mist itself if not the monsters.
If the first idea is correct, then we simply need to fight our way to the Project Arrowhead facility and set up weapon emplacements around it, just shoot anything that comes through the portal the moment it does so. If the second is correct, then we've already won, because the monsters left would be a breeze to clean up.
But If the first and less favorable option is, it would be more difficult but definitely survivable, and if the mist is slowly going global then it gets even easier because every country in the world will have a unifying goal to fight their way to the facility and shut it down. The monsters are scary, but you know what's scarier? *Every single military on the planet, all at once, targeting one thing specifically.*
i watched this movie it was my childhood it was horror for me but I loved it, still this movie is the true goat.
Howabout, Why you wouldn't survive the room 1408? Another fantastic Stephen King movie
If I remember correctly the tentacles from planet x are a completely separate entity from the behemoth and you missed two creatures that are in the book but not the show, the living kite and the giant centipede.

The whole thing these dumb fuck Hollywood writers try and do where they want to make there own thing but there talantless hacks so they steal from other IP's then rewrite in such a stupid way might as well be something else. Rings of Power, The Mist, and Star Wars have this problem

Damn what a great movie! Thank you, as always great content!
One of my favorite movies, so gonna love this video
The ending of this movie was so scary…and dark
Those who are fearless are those who die in vain.
Those who are cautious are those who are stuck in place.
Only a group with a wide range of skills would survive more than a few months, but not without loss. Human nature is ultimately why humanity would die off entirely in this kind of apocalypse.
19:59 and that's why am betting on Hakari
I love that movie
Listen bro, your channel deserves at least 2 million subscribers! Ive been watching for years!
Literally one of my favorite scary movies. ☺️☺️
I thought you already cover this movie, then again i dont need a reason to see a review of one of my favorite King adaptation.
That ending tramatized me. Still an excelent movie.
R.I.P Andre Braugher tho...
Haven’t watched a wow vid in a while and now there’s a bunch of vids life is good
THIS LEGEND FINALLY UPLOADED A VIDEO AFTER MONTHS!!!
That ending stayed in my memory for years since watching it as a kid.
Love this movie, it also reminds me of my favorite rpg Legend of Legaia. Which was about a mist that took over the world. Amazing.❤😮
The first thought I had on sight was, “I know that, but now I want to know how little of a chance I stand”.
If you can, try to find the audio play. Great effects, great actors, and its in 3D. Get a good set of over the ear head phones and close your eyes. Its better than the movie, save for the ending. Obviously the movies ending is one of the best ever put on film. The most realistic in such a scenario and certainly the most relatable ending ive ever experienced.
Ah, family friendly content to watch at night
I was just thinking about this movie a few days ago, nice to see I'm not the only one reminiscing on a fate worse than death.
