Great review, Tom. Like the format of the video demo!
And yeah, James is a fantastic designer.
Ditch the paper money and play with some high quality poker chips. Play some Sinatra in the background and this game comes alive!
Peter! Great idea!
I enjoyed your review. I recently bought this game on sale without knowing much about it, and it seemed a little complicated upon reading the instructions. Your video helped answer some questions I had. I am now looking forward to trying it out. :) I also agree it would have been better to use poker chips rather than paper money.
Seems like a pretty good game. I too hate paper money though. I was wondering about how many poker chips would you need to play this without running out?
I haven't play Aquire, but it looks this is a better version of it? :) Taking over someone else's casinos is more fun :)) I also like when dice are incorporated into a game in such a nice way (not just throwing them, but using as markers).
Damn BGG images, I thought it came with poker chips!
Nice review Tom, the game looks like a lot of fun.
Ooooh Dice!!
Nice touch with Mr. Dice Guy, made me laugh! Shut the door!
cool review
hey Tom, how big is the wall behind you? I noticed that it isn't always the same games behind you when you're reviewing. You should do a quick walk around tour of your board game room.
shut the door dice guy ftw :oP
I always thought that James Ernest came up with some clever mechanics for his games, "cheapass" or not. It's nice to see a great production in this case. I look forward to trying this.
I want a copy!
@spiderweb20 he already gave a tour I think, do a search.
Why wont they keep that darn door shut?
I just play this game recently - what a disappointment. Nice, big box, but it's like Deadwood Studios. James Ernest is not a good designer.
Tom, you need a lock.
A more complicated version of Bingo with casino monopoly theme.
Excellent game. Oh, and the shut the door thing is overdone.
Tom, you really need to be better at your video presentation. Audio mics, camera, and flow of the video is very poor. I know you review a lot of games and I hope you take this to improve your presentation.
