The speed and technicality are what sets this song apart and puts it in the upper echelon of Lovebites songs. It’s as if they turned the musicality knob up to “expert” level!
Another thing I like about LOVEBITES is that they don't put filler on any of their albums. You can listen to the Judgement Day album and get to the last song and you think you just heard one of the best metal albums and then the last track is could be just something they threw on there but no, they punch you in the face with this metal masterpiece. And then they go on to perform it live and melt your face off with an amazing performance, it is like the exclamation point to the album. We're not done yet, lets save the best for last and leave your face on the floor. Love these ladies!
The composition, arrangement, plus the official live performance by themselves makes SSS a top-tier heavy metal song. Perhaps because of the zeitgeist and "politically correctness", reactors tend to shy from the message. The lyrics of Lovebites songs in general, and SS in particular, are motivating and inspiring. Add to this their decision to write and sing such mature global themes in English - which is so uncharacteristic of almost all native Japanese bands male or female, reflects their depth and global vision. What makes SSS my #1 song ever, and a personal motivational anthem ... lies in its deep message ... with the musicianship and a performance for the ages! This Bulgarian reactor does a great job of delving into the deep lyrics of SSS th-cam.com/video/vGiLVqCIJu0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MVbqFKU78m4H1-s-
To my taste, SSS is one of the best of thrashy Lovebites but so is Break The Wall. Shadowmaker is something else, more power side. They got epic symphonic vibes too, Swan Song and A Frozen Serenade, and Dystopia Symphony. Slower ones like Epilogue and Edge Of The World too.
Because Miyako is a genius, Chopin of Metal. Simple!

Yeah, they approach their songs with tremendous care
"Bell In The Cell" LOL... nice, but it's "The Bell In The Jail"!
D'oh!

Thanks for the informative comment. I didn't know people shy away from SSS. I'll check out the Belgium reactor... maybe a meta reaction

Good way to put it. You also mentioned some really good songs
@@rantandchill9503 Tks!!
8:40 Only Midori on guitar? They already done that in "Spellbound".
That's one song.
@@rantandchill9503 Yes one, but it was great. One of rare moments I was laughing When Miyako refuse to take keytar. Hilarious. 😁
It's their best song, IMO.
