Chun li is one of my favorite female fighting game characters mainly because of her fighting style and her determination throughout the story and her rivalry with juri and m.bison
Chun-Li has one of the best endings of Street Fighter II but I don't like how Capcom been portraying Chun-Li like she's not capable of handling her own to sometimes almost becoming a "Damsel In Distress" like she's Mai from King Of Fighters like this the First Lady Of Fighting Games I hope Chun-Li treated gracefully in Street Fighter 6.
In the anime, Mai gets defeated by a man for Andy to come save her while Chun-Li held her own and took out the ruthless Vega(Balrog) before Guile arrived. While Mai is there for fan service and hardly has a backstory, Chun-Li is there as inspiration and to seen as a fighter.
Chun-Li might be back in action or just continue living the kung-fu master life. She seems to have devoted her entire to raising orphan children and teaching them kung-fu. I mean, that’s her purpose and she even states this on SF3’s ending. Being a devoted teacher in martial arts and raising orphans. And we want that for her. She has already set her goals.
That clip you showed from SF: Anime, I always hoped CAPCOM would start putting Chun's hands on the ground when she does the Spinning Bird Kick in game like that. It always looked weird to me,her floating upsidedown
They do her so badly in the animes, she's supposed to be the strongest woman in the world yet she gets a kicking and ends up hospitalized almost every fight it's so disrespectful to the character
Agreed. Chun Li is now being reintroduced as a Kung Fu master which means her fighting skills will exceed what she was capable of in Street Fighter Third Strike. She could be somewhere in the ballpark of her father and Gen’s level.

I think Chun Li has the potential to master Soul Power by training with Rose. Since Chun Li strongly oppose Bison and his infamous Psycho Power, it only stands to reason they could work together.

Chun-li is a legend in the fighting game genre, it was really good to hear what she's been through and where she is now. Sf6 should be interesting.
