Stay way from stress and stressful people , man said when he bought the first Benz he taught he would be accepted in quote among the white life lesson and how he got his self confidence from the coach that asked about the best players in their team, love the part Emma talked about the brotherly love things that might have been done in the place of love but however done in a irrational way the nugget in the episode are life lessons that would remain in one’s head for life great job to the entire team

The man disagreed with the long-winded attempt to change his mind and you are still doubling down, arrogantly trying to manipulate the narrative with religion and misguided advice.

I really enjoyed your program, which is educative. Fash narrated what has been killing our football here in Nigeria. Abandoning good plays bcos they don't have money to bribe. For instance, Salisu was cut by a journalist collecting money to fix unfit players bcos he was told that many agents were around searching for players, and one agent gave him money to feature his player . Fifa interview and band him for certain years.
John Fashanu a great man. I am very sorry about your brothers horrible situation with you. I remembered reading about your brother last year. Then I say to my self is not Fashanu. It is his brother. I got it. I can feel the racism that you felt in Millwall. Really a bad situation. Sorry about that. John you are a very brave good powerful man. A lots of respect. One love. Well done.

I wish you could have kept this segment private or ar least respect his feelngs on the personal matter.
I was 17 when he won the FA Cup. I read about his bust up then with a white player who punched his face and he taught the guy a lesson. He joked that the guy wanted to break his nose to disqualify him from holding the title of the league's most handsome player which he was voted as at the time.
I strongly don't agree with John when he said why can't the NFF hand the reigns of coaching affairs to the super Eagles ex Internationals such as Okocha, Kanu, Eguavon. bar Eguavon, non of the above mention has Fifa top licence coaching badges and the SE coaching job should never be handed to anyone out of sentiments. Great interview. But I have to say Bro Emma, you are extremely misguided on your approach to racism. Yes, we all have our prejudices, but nothing comes close to the systematic damage or impact racism coming from former Colonial exploiters in U.K. has done to Africans, Asians or Nigerians specifically. Just as Fashanu has said, it's a systemic problem which will likely always exist. Nevertheless, as a black man, you have to understand it's more than just trading a slur with a racist. It's deadly to just accept it without proactively working to minimize it's impacts on our lives. Racism doesn't affect a white man the same way it impacts us. Africans and other former Colonial subjects living in Europe suffer threats to safety, employment, healthcare and a myriad of detrimental political policies driven by racist bigotry. Just look at how Palestine is suffering under Israeli colonization, backed by Europe and Western powers. In this day and age, we are more educated, having more access to political revolutionary power as a people. If we can just unite our efforts, empathizing and supporting each other more comprehensively as Africans, Asians or anyone from the developing world/former Colonies, you will realize we have more power than you think to change the oppressive impact of racism in the world today. You can't force a racist to love you but you may mitigate the Racists impact on your well-being by making them respect the consequences of the socio-political power we possess when we stand together in solidarity, instead of cowering like cowards, accepting inhumane treatment from this systemic problem.
ATHLST, I thoroughly enjoyed your very emotional and somewhat blunt interview with John but except that part of putting John on the back-foot over reality of racism and your effete efforts to deny racism or shrug it off. racism against black people is not only systemic and psychological but money spinner for white people spanning centuries in slavery and colonization and current neocolonial African states. ALL races including Asians (Indians) hate Black people. Mahatma Ghandi displayed racist behavior and thoughts against Black people when he was a South African immigrant in the early days of Apartheid. Emmanuel and Dafe are both speaking from point of socalled "cultured black' perspective which is actually indicative of mental conditioning or programming. Of course monkey and its chants are derogatory Black CONNOTATIVE; no thanks to centuries-old white propaganda machinery projecting blacks as monkeys! Roping in 'black on black' "racism" is a convenient argument and narrative pushed by white people and their black apologists like Emmanuel and Dafe to downplay and revise white racism. Fact is that ALL races beef and fight within and among themselves. whites kill each other: difference is that they are careful to publicize them while painting the town red with every black on black beef or homicide. Making John uncomfortable in his realism of racism is most unfortunate because the only way to fight racism is an eye for an eye mentality just like Emmanuel admonished his daughter albeit in different situation. YES I won't marry off my daughter to an Indian because Indians don't marry off their daughters/sons to Black girls and boys! John was right and I hope this interview wouldn't change his realistic and pragmatic disposition to racism.
Hi Okey, I totally agree with your narratives on the subject but while I understand your perspective, I’m afraid you missed ours. My perspective is more from responsive rather than a victim’s. I believe if we stop sulking and start flipping the page on racists, then and only then will we start living. Its like that nick name your friends gave you during your adolescence you didn’t like. The name persists as long as you made a big deal of it but vanishes if you didn’t. Racism is a big deal yeah but we have to live and on our terms.
@@godfather4324 believe me, I'm trying but having a hard time understanding your rationalization or accommodation of racism. That you reduce justified black resistance to racism as "sulking" is even more tragic. Do you realize racism is a killer psychologically and aimed at denying or rubbishing your humanity? do you stop to wonder the actual mind of a racist? I don't accept that as black people, our reaction ought to be to "start flipping the page on racists": that'd only deepen and embolden perpetrators. And this line of thinking is sadly, conditioning driven much like the biblical 'turn the other cheek' admonition meek-lized and inferiorized black converts and adherents generation to generation! I speak to you as a once liberalist of western persuasion but fortunately reclaimed and revived by the African Ancestors. The only reason white people still invest and profit off of racism is black timidity or apologia of racism. I'm sure you know how european jews feel about anti-semitism? why wouldn't they just "start flipping a page" on anti semitism? today, where are you likely to get away with racist slur? with the jew or the black? seen?
@@okeyasuzu4431 my brother, the first thing you probably need to understand is that we’re on the same sides. I have suffered my fair share of the ugly evil called racism. I have had dogs sniffing me severally at the airport in Amsterdam, each time the dog steps away the guard sends it back to sniff again and kept insisting. My first time in Paris, I and friends were made to kneel and Empty our pockets each time we stop to gas up our car and do some little shopping by their police. This happened 4 times in one day , an ugly situation that prompted my refusal to leave the hotel room for the remaining days I spent there. I chose not to allow these hate define my heights Perhaps you can share with me my brother your thoughts on how this evil can be handled.
@@godfather4324 my only thought and inclination is strength and resistance and black love and unity because like the renowned black scholar and researcher, Professor John Henrik Clarke said: "we got no friends, we all we got" . It is never a good way to rationalize and be apologetic over racism as a black person. We should learn from the jews in their upfront and decisive disposition and approach to anti semitism. I think you and your co-host need to privately apologize to John for the needless discomfort caused him in what was really your attempt at political correctness over racism. the worst part is that these people still profit off of racism. Did you ever stop to wonder what must have forced John to embrace reverse racism with ALL his multicultural exposures? You can't be exposed to the demeaning realities of racism without standing up for yourself and returning it in equal measure whenever you can. Matter fact, it'd be unnatural and hypocritical to act otherwise! why do you think some western suburbs, institutions (including educational); entertainment and art; businesses and real estates etc become highly valued, exclusive and sought after? simply because of deliberate exclusion of people of color (blacks in particular)! And watch the trend take a sharp dip the moment black people begin to sneak in because there'd be instinctive white exodus from these areas or institutions. this is crazy bro. We must therefore, resist racism for its inhumanity and resultant criminal economic appropriation.
@@okeyasuzu4431 nah brother! You got our position totally wrong cause your narratives here is exactly our stand. I said, if you call me a monkey directly , I’ll call you a pig . If you throw a banana in the midst of myself and white guys I’d ignore it because one of the white guys might just be the monkey referred. If that is not standing up, I wonder what is. Even John saw our perspective of standing up rather than sulk. Its all good though brother, we’re all in, Just differing in methods.
Fashanu is far too obsessed with racism and strikes me like one who doesn’t take responsibility, he is far too negative and I don’t like such people who only see the bad things in everything.

I chose not to allow these hate define my heights
Perhaps you can share with me my brother your thoughts on how this evil can be handled.
Mate you talking to much, I tune d in to listen to Johns story not yours as the interviewers!
You guys interrupt each other a lot. Too many unfinished statements.
True racism is a thing of mind
Fashanu is far too obsessed with racism and strikes me like one who doesn’t take responsibility, he is far too negative and I don’t like such people who only see the bad things in everything.
This is the first intelligent comment I've seen here; and I say that as someone who always sees the bad in things.
What transfer record did he brake when he moved to villa? What a joke already!
