Having been an avid player of both games, no its not, both games are equally shit and I dare say war thunder is getting even worse than wot, the only plus wt has over wot is less fake shit and more sensible module damage and sometimes more sensible rng, otherwise both are quite the hair pulling experience
when someone says "dark souls difficulty curve you know they either 1. gaming journalist , 2. shit at games, 3 dark souls apologist/fanboy or 4. all of those things. DS games are easy , they might seem "hard" due to bad controls , bad game design , bethesda levels of a buggy mess (actually with dark souls i think thats an insult to bethesda) at the end of the day those games are just badly done diablo 1 that is a hack and slash game where all you need is a half decent build(just get those good numbers) for what stage of the game you are in and its EZ
