You remind me of my old gymnastics coach who really made me love working out and always encouraged me and made me love the sport! Now I'm a gym coach and your tips are super helpful. Thank you! I can tell that you're an awesome coach, keep it up :)
Man I have just started the video and wanted pause to write something at 4:19 I can say that from what I heard so far, you know what you are talking about ;) Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this, I'm reminded of some stuff I can work on and some stuff I feel like I already do well, this video made me feel better about my coaching
I really appreciate this video it really shows you care. I feel like a lot of it is common sense but people need to be reminded. I wish I knew more people who coached in this manner.
Good video mate i just got a job as a gymnastics coach yesterday and my first dsy of work is today so thanks for making this video i will try my best to give your tips a go man stay awsome
Hi Nathan, can you recommend any TH-cam coaching videos that will help with progress (level 2 women’s artistic). I used to watch LOADS of videos as a kid with dad but now I struggle to find anything that’s more than a few minutes long.
Check out Nick Ruddocks content, he has a great podcast called gymnastics growth show and free samples of his technical videos on his website. You have to pay to see the full videos but there's no denying that there's valuable info there, if you don't wanna pay then stick with the podcast!
I think all of your tips were right on, as I work to coach with those goals in mind as well. I have always enjoyed/learned a lot from you and your videos. I am wondering if you or anybody else sees the 2 anomalies in this video though? The first one happens at 3:48 and it floats from the upper left corner through your head and down across the screen and just disappears in midair! It looks exactly like apparitions that have been documented on ghost type shows. Then another smaller one floats out from your head at 12:14. Super cool! Are you in like a college dorm room or something? Just curious as far as the paranormal type activity and where it's happening?
interisting to watch how you consider coaching, as a trainer and a gymnast i agree with most of the points you said. But for me there is one quality to be a coach (sometimes forgotten or such an evidence) is being sure your gymnast will succeed and say it. Unfortunately i saw too much negative coaching and i just want tell them why are you a trainer ?
Hey quick question I was working out with my brother with weights and we where doing bicep curls and now I feel a really sharp pain in both my bicep tendons for a coachs point of view should I void training moves like Maltese iron cross and planche etc and worry about rehab for the tendons? Please reply when ever u have a chance to
Aenaii Josh I would definitely avoid intense straight arm work if your biceps are that sore because that will only make things worse. Rehab and rest, take your time, then start working the big skills again when your biceps feel better
Watching this today because today is my first day as boys gymnastics coach. Thank you!
Thank you for this! As coaches we never stop learning

Very well said we need to make gymnastics fun. My coach did a great job back in the days and today I'm very grateful for that. Keep rocking :)

Nath Comber Hey Nath, could you do me a favor and look at the question I asked on your Iron Cross tutorial from your other channel?
#lowering to Maltese on rings
I coach swimming, running and gymnastics for free. What a rip off.
