You really Rock Duffy , never giving up and always finding a solution ...... i look forward to your videos every day . you make us farmer proud of our lifestyle
If you have a hose from the fuel filter to the injector pump a flap can form in the hose. When fuel is flowing the flap will swing down and restrict the fuel. When you shut down the flap moves back. I had this happen on both my 9170 Deutz Allis and 886 Ihc. Good luck and keep grinding.
Anytime I walk into Walmart and I see those freaking freeze pops in the big box, I know I'm not leaving without 4-5 bundles of those things. I end up with pockets full of those plastic sleeves, plus the horses and my healer love them just as much as I do, Atleast that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. My healer will throw a fit if he doesn't get atleast part of each one I eat, if anyone else offers him a freeze pop he won't take it, unless it's mine. Best dogs on earth hands down.
It's just nice to work under cover....something about it changes your mindset and are more motivated to get shit done no matter what the weather is like
the chopper is sure being a pain one good thing the engine is running I hope the 7520 is just having a fuel problem well good luck and keep at it you will get there Chris
Had that happen to truck I had once and someone loose cap off pop bottle they used to fill fuel filters out if tank and when it get down it slosh around get sucked over the hole for inlet
Hi Chris, Not trying to be a smart ass but maybe you should call your buddy from Canada and see if he can sell you another two choppers. Hang in there love the content!
I had that exact same problem with an 8640 one time it was the suction line for the android on the injection pump. It would dog down and about stall out let it sit a bit running and it would go again. The line was cracked.
my 8440 was doing that, it turned out to be the line going from the tank to the lift pump was cracked right where it was clamped to the frame rail. It would suck air and fall on it's face when it was under load. Stop for a minute idling and it would be ok, go again and after a bit it would do the same thing. Drove me nuts trying to figure it out, found out what it was when I unscrewed it off the lift pump and it bent away way too easy, and split right apart.
Looks like you clamped some garbage down under that blade, the area between the pairs of bolts can be slightly hollow without a worry but if bolting on the blade bends the blade down over something and there's a backbend right at the bolts to where the tips are flat you'll get that double snap. You need to get a straight edge out and make sure if anything you've a touch of gap between the blade and the mandrel in the middle.
Could be dirt in the fuel line... sometimes at the tank connections or at the filters.... blow the line back from the filters to the tank. I've done it a few times, changed filters because of power loss only to forget to check the inlets and outlets.
Could be the fuel shut off solenoid partially sticking open/closed - especially if it straightens out after shut off - worth a look before condemning the transfer pump.
if you hook up an electric fuel pump and bypass the manual lift pump you could find out if thats it or not or like somebody else said check your fuel tank for something getting sucked up in the pickup
Howdy Chris, Another Great video, as usual, really enjoy watching your daily content, having said that.. I ordered another item from your merch website, and the last time I did, I received an email, confirming my purchase, however I have not received a confirmation yet ?? I placed the order 2 days ago for a large Duffyag, black t-shirt, but no confirmation yet ?? I hope you got it, and am looking forward to receiving it, can you confirm my order Please ?? Thank you, Stay safe, Stay Calm and Farm on my Friend, Peace
Dirty fuel Grease... Your old Buddy back again. The old diesels don't return much fuel compared to modern ones, that heat the fuel and kill any algae growth. You need to pull the tanks and steam clean them. Reminds me of a customer I had. The had a brand new hyster f.l. So the fuel was plugged up. Only like two hours on the unit. I pulled the pickup and gage assy out and the. Blockage was in the tube pick up.. I blew it out into a rag and it looked to me like a big bug. On off the coonasses walked by and asked what I found. I said it's right there in a rag. He looks and says that's a green tree frog. Sure enough he was right. But how did it get in the tank? Now this is in Port Fuchon LA Oil field stuff Most 71 series Detroits They can run on half water. So I went out to the holding tank and there was an open two inch pipe with two 90s in it. I put a filter on the hose and the vent. Never had another fuel problem. Yeah fuel filters should last at least six months to a year and should never plug up. You are using some dirty fuel. All Right partner wash them hands a few times a day. Get some baby wipes, wipe your face with them and NOT YOUR GREASY AZZ HANDS. LOL BE GOOD
If it's algea you will see it when you take the filters off or check the fuelline. Had it with our excavator took the fueltank off and cut it open to clean it. Then weld it back close again.
@@willianvos3521 I'm not saying it is algae, but I'm sure he has rust, water and algae scum In his fuel. But he does have a dirty fuel problem, what ever it is. He's had fuel problems on about all of his machines.
@George Jones I remember the Deere tractor the same one SHUTING DOWN NOW. It had something on the pump he had to replace. Trust me clean the fuel up and clean up the problem. Ive seen too many Old fuel storage tanks. Ok I put a new 300 HP cat in my shrimp boat ... It was a 1978 halter Marine sportsman A 32' boat with 40 year old aluminum fuel tanks that fed an old cat 3208. Like I said before the . modern diesels pass about 50 gallons an hour and heat the fuel up. So my new engine would die after just a few hours. I'd change the filters and get another two hours, what a pain in the ass. I couldn't afford the filters i had to replace the tanks. I remember when I stalling the engine. Cat required a half Inch fuel lines The pump inlet was 5/16". So that didn't make sense. After I saw the dirty fuel problem wasn't going to fix it's self, I threw a couple of 55 gal drums in it just to see. Well at low power it only used maybe 3-4 gallons an hour.... But it bypassed a good 45 gallons an hour and probably would of been more if I would have put the correct size lines on it. Duffy just clean up your fuel and hands your machines will run better and one less thing to work on. Yeah.......... woohoo
IN addition to filters, there are fuel screens? DEALING with this BS 4ever on old equip AND I'm sure yours looks old enough that it MIGHT have a screen or 2 or more. WHEN will tractors JUST GO ELECTRIC? THEN it will just be a dead battery, sun not shining, wind not blowing, rodent ate the soy plastic sheathing on my cables causing a short....never ends.
You really Rock Duffy , never giving up and always finding a solution ...... i look forward to your videos every day . you make us farmer proud of our lifestyle
possibly something in the tank sucking up to the pickup tube, and then falls away when you shut it off
That what it sounds like
That's exactly what I was thinking!! Seen it happen on a semi and grain truck
I concur with a pickup clog. Seen it several times on various equipment.
Yes. 👍
Had a similar problem with our versatile turned out to be the vent cap on the fuel tank was plugged up
We love watching the variety of your busy farm life !!

Great job Chris a little fuel problem but it got the job done enjoyed it and can't wait for next one but we are moving right through it all.
Lift pump. Just went through a same thing on my 9600 Ford

Rocks man
Hello Chris I'm thinking also is a fuel cap issue. Maybe you know by now. Have a good night.
my 6620 combine was doing the same thing. filter coming out of fuel tank was solid dirt. cleaned and away we went
Check the sediment bowl screen
Had that happen to truck I had once and someone loose cap off pop bottle they used to fill fuel filters out if tank and when it get down it slosh around get sucked over the hole for inlet
Chris I had the same problem. I found a piece of foil in the fuel tank that would suck up to the bottom of the fuel pickup
Hi Chris,
Not trying to be a smart ass but maybe you should call your buddy from Canada and see if he can sell you another two choppers.
Hang in there love the content!
I’ve been subscribed to TH-cam for about four months
had a problem like that with my tractor...turned out to be algae in my fuel tank getting caught in the pickup tube
Vent or fuel line we had two do that and took the supply line loose and took a air gun and blowed out and away it went no problems on either one since
I had that exact same problem with an 8640 one time it was the suction line for the android on the injection pump. It would dog down and about stall out let it sit a bit running and it would go again. The line was cracked.
I bet it cracked when you ran that chain through it. When you had to look in truck for pieces.
That 7520 been hanging around newer tractors too much.

Check you fuel tank vent.
Did you clean the sediment bowl and screen on the injection pump ??

Check for shop rag in the fuel tank

Something to look at is sediment in the tank I don’t know. Hopefully it’s simple. Lift pump would be a bummer
Check for something in the fuel tank covering the pickup
Sometimes I eat 6 to 8 freeze pops. Nothing better when it’s hot.
My corn s growing like Mad
Are you suckling air in the top of the filter. Mine have a loose fitting sucking air. It was doing the same thing
Plugged vent or when you were moving the tanks around something got stired up in there and is blocking pickup tube
Could be the fuel shut off solenoid partially sticking open/closed - especially if it straightens out after shut off - worth a look before condemning the transfer pump.
Check your return to make sure it isn't plugged or your governor could be starting to wear out which means pump rebuild
Chris.....is there a filter in the bottom of the tank....
Sounds like plugged fuel lines. Try blowing back through line. You will have this fixed since this was three days ago lol
Where in New Brunswick did you pick up the spare Claas?
I live in Woodstock which is the border town at the end of interstate 95
Had a john deere backhoe doing that turns out to be the fuel pickup in the tank was stopping up.
I noticed with the 7520 running in the video next to the barn.. it looks like the fan isn't spinning like it supposed to.. maybe it just me..
I bet it's the lift pump on the 7520.
Something blocking fuel line in tank . Rust flake , bug 🐛 etc you cut off suction breaks the hold and runs till it clogs again
I have a 2350👍🏻
if you hook up an electric fuel pump and bypass the manual lift pump you could find out if thats it or not or like somebody else said check your fuel tank for something getting sucked up in the pickup
It could be the vent for the fuel tank on 7520

I would guess something in fuel tank, blow back through suction line, see if I clears up for a while.
745 also ice cream makes you thirsty
Sounds like the rake in the injected pump is bad
How long has it been since the fuel filters were changed ?
10 hrs
Something is clogging the fuelsystem or there is a different problem
Duffy may have been to tight both ends broke through the bolt holes.
Blockage in fuel line between filters and tank
There might be something plugged in the fuel line
maybe something in the fuel tank the outlet
