- A patient with triple vessel coronary artery disease presents with Class III dyspnea on exertion ðŪâðĻ, raising concerns of an anginal equivalent or underlying subclinical left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Although their LVEF (Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction) is normal, the presence of a reduced LV Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) ð suggests that there may be early, subtle changes in heart function that are not yet reflected in traditional measures. This could explain the symptoms despite a preserved ejection fraction.
