There's one stand-out from all your videos: not only do you research your areas, but you always tread with respect instead of just fear of 'getting caught doing a naughty thing'. I haven't been to Shrewsbury for a few years, and gutted to see Pride Hill closed - though it was going when I was last there way before covid.
Well Lads, if there are any viewers or followers out there who doubt your commitment or the efforts you go to in bringing us each of these excellent explores, then this should surely explode any doubts they have. Its a pity you did get caught as you were nearly clear but you took it all in your stride and you still did manage to make a great video from it. Thanks as always.
A little about the Forum in Chester - the lads actually "arrived" through the old Council offices, where you could actually go and talk to people who worked for the council - out the front at 5:00 is where the town hall is, at 5:20 is where the old traditional market was, the long passage at the end leads to what used to be a little theater, and to the right is where the old bus station used to be (now the new fancy market/food hall). I even remember going into a Santa's Grotto here! The point being, even if it was half-filled with B&M, bargain bs stores etc, this place used to be vibrant & right at the heart of the community. And now, it's just needlessly lying empty, awaiting "potential development options". I know there must be hundreds of independent makers, sellers, business-people etc etc etc, who could move in tomorrow and revitalize the place. The way we have allowed the landlord class to organize our society is insane.
Good on you fellas for treating the security with a good attitude He was only doing his job, and you stated your case fairly enough. Good result all round and you still got your video.
@billmorrison4746 Indeed. Security would have recognised that the guys were not causing any actual damage, and their respect towards the security fella would have confirmed that. All he had to do then was quietly tick the explorers off as he did.
This was a weird one to watch- the first of your videos covering a location I have been to in the past, with relatives that have since died. Definitely brought back some memories. Thank you as always.
Awesome vid as always! Snooped around the forum myself recently, but unfortunately couldnt find a way in, maybe another time... Appreciate the way you deal with the security guard. He seemed polite, and not aggressive once he realised you were just exploring, and you treated him politely! From my forays exploring so far, I've had one security encounter and he was similar. A bit sharp at first, but then when I politely explained I was just taking photos and that I'd leave the property, he was reasonable. Can understand why they might be a bit uptight as there's sadly a lot of undesirables who go into these places to vandalise things or use drugs, so I do sympathise with security guards.
I love the magazine idea!! If I had the funds right now I would order just because I think it would be a great way to document historic places and exploring tips, as well as a great way to learn things. I know what mag I would be grabbing if yours appeared at the dentist!
Awesome stuff lads, still love that intro. When you skidded down that roof I was like, how are they going to get back out now??? Glad you got the ban lifted. Thanks guys! This one was full of laughs : )
With the exception of B&M being the only shop in Chester's Forum that was busy with customers, the forum was mostly used for access to the adjoining market & council services building outside. I suspect "bat flu" was just an excuse for what was probably on the cards for the last decade.
Well done men you deserve medals yous take so many chances and risking your lives to show great videos please 🙏 be extra careful as your life is more important than taking dangerous chances on slippery surfaces please take care yous are brilliant 🤩 Thankyou so much 🤩hope yous have a good Christmas 🎄 and great New Year ahead 🎉
Shrewsbury: HMV Is In The Darwin Shopping Centre Now In The Unit Where River Island Used To Be However In The Former Now Demolished Shrewsbury Pride Hill Shopping Centre HMV Used To Be Where The Entertainer Was HMV Then Relocated To The Other Side Of The Pride Hill and Wilko Is Now In The Darwin Shopping Centre Wilko Moved From Riverside Shopping Centre To The Pride Hill Shopping Centre Chester Forum Shopping Centre: Who's Paying The Forums Electricity Bill Possibly Squatters That B&M With The Shutter Half Up and Shoe Zone With It's Lights On I'm Glad You Lads Got To Go In The Derelict B&M
24:00 The intelligence of security. Concentrating on the taking of photographs and not about not being allowed in the centre. It doesn't matter if you are taking a piss or taking pictures, neither matter to the issue of actually being in the centre. They should just stick to their job of making sure you leave.
Those mannequins and the general ambience reminds me of the computer game condemned if it was night time at the abandoned mall. Just a torchlight and whatever you can find...
Who is paying the electric bill for the abandoned Chester Mall? Why I do not beleive in net zero is because of electricity wastage like in the abandoned mall? If commercial organisations stopped wasting energy, emissions could be reduced.
have not long explored the last abandoend shopping center in the uk making that all 8 across the uk done this year now including alders in croydon (which is my 4th explore of that)
The security actually did you a favour by letting you out on the ground floor. Going up the roof, i.e. the way you managed to gain entry isn't exactly the best or safest way to get in. He was obviously a bit miffed that you were there, (it might reflect badly on him, as it's his job to look after the place), but seemed to come around to the point where he just let you out. Not that he could really do anything else, anyway. Even if the police were present, they'd just tell you to leave and not come back. Trespass is a civil matter, not a criminal one.
24:45 Banning you from somewhere has no legal backing. It means nothing. It doesn't give some weight to acting if you do something unlawful or disruptive but only then. Oh, and I hope you gave false names since the security guy has no authority at all to take your names. Giving a false name to security means nothing. It's not a crime. And it can't be used against you if/when they find out.
yeah I think security was just making sure you werent squatters or looters. Gave you a little piece of paper to make their boss happy and sent you out on your merry way. They clearly wanted to "catch" you to see your faces and see if you took anything. I live next to a half dead shopping center and i know security has theor "known offenders" for trespassers, I guess they just wanted to see if you were one of them too.
If you could loop that hairdryer type sound at the start and do a 3 hour video with it, you’d get millions of views lol Also how much did your arses go when that auto door opened
If there is free and easy parking these malls survive but when it’s a hassle people shop elsewhere or online . It’s a shame the building looks in great condition . The councils business rates also drive business away.
So what you got a ban from what you can say is an empty place. You have shown them that there security. can easy be breached and even a hung number of squatter could get in and live there
Sorry not my kind of thing. But nice to see that you are still exploring. I know it's extremely difficult finding old industrial sites. What I have noticed in this video is that u are no longer youths but have developed into young men. Keep it up and keep searching.
Great content as ever. Well handled that situation. They are paper dragons as you know. You were not commiting a criminal offence. Some more toilet paper for you there with that 'official letter' 😂
People like you should be allowed to document these abandoned places as they are cultural icons for many places. You’re not vandals and those security guards were knobheads about it

The memories of this shopping centre in Shrewsbury. Have so many. This is just heartbreaking

Doing his job? Nah, they had one job and failed at it, how long has those three been inside for until it gets noticed? 😀
Just another paper dragon. Powerless man with meaningless uniform 😂
@billmorrison4746

Yeah, no reason to be rude or disrespectful to them. It's a tough job, especially with us creeping around
I really appreciate how you treated the security guard. Other channels act like childish knob heads. Thanks so much for your efforts.
No problem!
This was a weird one to watch- the first of your videos covering a location I have been to in the past, with relatives that have since died. Definitely brought back some memories. Thank you as always.
Fantastic explore as always! Security encounters are always funny 😂
Places like this are amazing and sad to see.
Great vídeo!!! Thanks!!
You have been lucky today.
Awesome vid as always! Snooped around the forum myself recently, but unfortunately couldnt find a way in, maybe another time...

Thanks for bringing back memories.

A bit of a silly one to end the year! Glad you enjoyed it :)
thank you guys for another great video.
The way you guys deal with the security is always commendable and as a result u only ever get a slap on the wrist
With the exception of B&M being the only shop in Chester's Forum that was busy with customers, the forum was mostly used for access to the adjoining market & council services building outside. I suspect "bat flu" was just an excuse for what was probably on the cards for the last decade.
That was crazy guys. But as others have already said. You did a wonderful job handling the security. Keep exploring !!!
God the architecture in these buildings are stunning, they don’t make them like this anymore, take me back pls
Thank you
Another great video

funny thing, i asked if i could take photos in the old pride hill shopping centre and they let me and a few of my friends in, this was back in October
Excellent video! That tannoy announcement was like something from the Hunger Games arena.
Yes! That's what it is haha
The Riverside Centre in Shrewsbury is also closed now
Chester resident here 73 years. Chester in the last 50 years has been a nightmare for parking, and still is, haven't been to town for 10 years.
I live in Shrewsbury. It’s sad to see the decline.
Shame you got caught out, how long did they ban you. 12 months and how do they keep track if you just went back in? XD
I miss Pride Hill, so many memories there, real shame.
Good vid. It’s kinda funny giving you a ban even if it covers the open one. And in some ways you politely identify a weekness to there security.
We hope they saw it that way :D

The information centre was opened about12 years ago to deal with the town centre redevelopment which has taken years to start.

bros spending Christmas Day lying in the TH-cam comments

so glad you pronounced Shrewsbury right 🤣🤣

25:39 Rip up the form. That's how useful it is. It proper place is in the bin. And never ever give your real name to anyone other than police.
Nice explore 101
An open door was RIGHT there? Hahaha, timing is everything.
My home town, it won’t be long before the other one is empty too
The market was a proper market years ago. Apparently the new market is full of restaurants.
Mad how they just shut these places they should offer the businesses reduced rent to keep these shopping centres open and trading
@tomrobinson89lufc all part of there plan probably be demolished and housing built

I'm curious, how long was that ban you got from the shopping centres?
4 weeks
Being banned was a bit childish from security, a telling off would suffice in future
Iscream and Fwench Fwy should’ve said something back and make a critical hit if they heard it
Demolishion has started this week.
Lads.. I'm banned from all Wilko store's 😂😂😂
Love
Do you carry cards with you TH-cam on it for this sort of thing?
We don't but maybe that's a good idea for the future
Sorry not my kind of thing. But nice to see that you are still exploring. I know it's extremely difficult finding old industrial sites. What I have noticed in this video is that u are no longer youths but have developed into young men. Keep it up and keep searching.
We don’t plan on stopping!
Cool dated shopping mall

👍👍👍👍🎄
If you all had high vis jackets and hard hats it would look like you are meant to be there
Security know when someone is meant to be somewhere, when somewhere is abandoned its pretty easy to keep track of.
@gaelenski_ true I will not dispute what you have said... but to the untrained eyes it will seem like they are supposed to be there
Lol they got caught cause they did their "splinter-celling" during daylight time
A Huge Atrium"
"Ooohhh Matron".
