I don't think Charters and Caldicott were commercial travellers. They are of a higher social class, typical ex public schoolboys (that is they probably went to a private fee-paying boarding school) on a continental holiday. For commercial travellers in a Hitchcock movie, see the two men Robert Donat shares his compartment with on the train to Edinburgh in "The 39 Steps". If I remember right, one even takes out one of his samples. In the comically ambiguous expression of the time, he "travelled in ladies' underwear"!
The two 🎬 actors, trying to constantly get the cricket 🏏 score, didn't "almost" steal the film.... they DID ✔️....🤣😂... they were the BEST 👌🏽 characters in it, bar NONE!!! 💯🇬🇧
Brilliant film, thank you ☺️.
It's hard to imagine someone making a Hitchcock film sound boring, but this guy manages it.
You know its a great movie when it's been remade 4 times.
I love this film! The lady vanishes.
Wonderful enlightenment on Hitchcock’s techniques like tight quarters. I had never really noticed that before. I bet your classes were fun.
