    Watching your factory videos smoking a Perdomo Bourbon Barrel aged Maduro. Flavors are magnificent, burn is laser sharp and draw is perfect. Usually when I feel a pack this tight, I am guessing the draw is going to take some work, not the case here Nick. Your quality control techniques are second to none. Beautiful smoke, as always! Thank you for all that you and Team Perdomo do.

      @@PerdomoCigars3 years later I am commenting on this post, I just smoked a perdomo habano Maduro last night after dinner at the beach. They are aging in my humidor for almost 4 years now. With even more age as my box has the cigars are even better! But the same quality listed above applies. Perfect sharp burn, great draw and even smoother better flavors in my opinion with my aged cigars. The cellophane had the "Yellow Cello" look. Nick you and Co. At Perdomo make some of the best cigars in the world. Thank you my friend!

    I really enjoy these videos. I feel like there is so little education out there for cigar enthusiast. I have become better at picking my cigars for my humidor because of these. Thank you.

    Cool video Nick. I'm totally in the dark on the process but I'm a little surprised that the barrels have liners. How does the actual wood and bourbon from the barrels have access to the tobacco if there is a liner (barrier) in place or does it even matter?

    • @PerdomoCigars
      @PerdomoCigars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hey Oldskool. We actually use a fiber based fabric that allows for breathing. This way the exchange between the alcohols in the wood and the tobacco is effortless.

      @@PerdomoCigars Appreciate the response Proffessor. Watching these videos is like binge watching the Discovery Channel. I don't know anything about the process and am not remotely in the business, but I can't stop watching.
      There is a lot of passion and expertise in the tobacco and premium cigar industry and I've gained a deeper appreciation for cigars through the info I'm getting on your channel. 😤

    I don't understand the point of barrel aging if the barrel is layered with plastic covering char and aroma with plastic.

    How there is no fungus or decay? What you use and do to save the leafs away of all fungus and decays?
    Thx

      Barrels are not varnished and because the tobacco breathes perfectly. Hence no mold or fungus

    Just curious, how can you age in the barrel if they are lined with plastic? Or is that white material something different?

    • @mattymiller3789
      @mattymiller3789 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel that the ageing is from being air tight
      May just be a cleaner process with the bag as the liner not quite sealed from the wood barrel so should still get exposure

      Some type of breathable fabric.

    • @othala7540
      @othala7540 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think its some kind of cheesecloth. only the outside is taped of or something to prevent it from sinking in the barrel

    Must smell amazing in there, will you have any of these at the next cigar fest in Pennsylvania.
