Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
Love all the organization items. As I get older it's more important for me to have things displayed neatly, and still be able to find them easily. Thanks for all you do.
I’ve started using stackable acrylic clear bins from Amazon for my shoes that open in the front and it has made a HUGE difference for my closet. Everything is organized and has its own place and it’s easy to see all the shoes!
I think they are ideal; however, my grown son has hundreds and hundreds of Jordan’s! I can’t afford to display his stupid collection! His father has mold dnd they’ve all come here. I have to take the ones that are cleaned back and store them. Of course I’m my responsibility Eve. Though we’ve been divorced for 29 years! Aaahh!

The best hangers are black plastic from Best Bath and Beyond! I got rid of all my velvet hangers because the black ones where thinner and more elegant!
I sold all my black velvet hangers too. I hated them. I was always cleaning them with a lint roller. I bought all gray slim line hangers made of rubber. No slip and just perfect.

Great video! Lots of things I have, some that would be fun to have and some I’d never use. Best kind of video - a real mix for lots of people! But I’m always confused by the collapsible laundry baskets. I’ve always used my baskets to collect dirty clothes (one in each person’s closet) and the baskets just get taken to the laundry room. After the clothes are washed and dried and folded, they’re popped back into the baskets to be carried to the bedrooms to be put away. The baskets are returned to the closets, ready for the next go round. I do keep a second basket in my closet (stacked with the first so not taking any space) and if I wanted to do just a single load of, say, whites then I would just grab it and collect whites from the other baskets and do the usual routine from there. When do you collapse it and store it?
@@ber1779 Well, that doesn’t answer my question about the collapsible basket, but… With each person having a basket in the closet, the clothes actually end up in the baskets and not tossed on the floor because kids say “I’ll take it later” rather than take those 25 steps to the bathroom. Plus I don’t want a big honking laundry basket taking up space in my bathroom. And I don’t want to carry a big, heavy basket around. The ones in the closets are small and on laundry day, everybody can bring them to the laundry room.
I agree with you on the when do you store it because it’s dirty clothes in there and then it’s clean folded clothes that need to be put away….I have the big clothes hamper in between the kids restrooms like in a hallway (so after a shower they dump their clothes there) and yes it’s unattractive and big:/ Does having the dirty clothes in your closet Make the rooms/closet smelly? Also like when they shower do they carry their clothes back to their rooms to put in their dirty 🧺
@@abbyscomplete1804 No, their closets and rooms don’t smell! 😂 If they had something sweaty and smelly from an athletic game, they would take that straight to the laundry room and it would be washed straight away. And, yes, any clothes they had that are dirty would go into their closets (except extreme clothes that require special handling) so if they take them off in the bathroom, they’d need to take them back to their room.

I don’t have enough top space to put sunglass organizers on PLUS I have so many my entire dresser top would be sunglasses. So I bought a nail polish organizer that you see on the walls at salons that you can screw to the wall and I put my sunglasses in them. It works perfectly and holds so many more sunglasses. They are displayed and easy to grab at. Got ‘em off Amazon.
I bought one of the t shirt folders. My husband’s shirts as so big it’s hard to use. Mine stays in my laundry room. He doesn’t hang his t shirts. So I fold all of his. I only have the velvet hangers in my closet. I switched to them several years ago. I was tired of the room the plastic hangers take, and your blouses still fall off. I think my husband still uses them. But not me. I keep the them in my laundry room too. Just get my shirts out of the dryer or washer and hang them up. I have a lot right now. I just went through my closet again to pare down some of my shirts. Mine don’t have the space between them like yours. And I have two long short shoe racks from Amazon. And I still have a lot of shoes left. Some I just keep in the boxes. Others get thrown on the floor. We have a small walk in closet. But it’s all my clothes. My husband uses the small office closet. I’m hoping to move someday in the future to a bigger house with a bigger closet. Then I might share with him.
We just added onto our house and have a new primary bedroom with a large walk in closet. This is the best video to help me get the job well done that I have watched!

The hangers! My husband and I have recently switched places career-wise and I'm now (supposed to be) the main housekeeper. I hadn't realized that my husband has accumulated about 6 different colors of hangers! He just used the white, padded ones on my side, so I didn't notice. Now that I'm doing laundry, aaaaugh! That has to change, it's driving me a little buggy.

I got the velvet hangers in grey (not on Amazon, but similar ones) and they really do make your closet look neat. Especially if you then still arrange everything by colour from light to dark :-)

I love love love that tank top/cami hanger!!! Because man I have way to many Cami's.....but they're seriously my go to in the summer....they're such a staple in my closet!!!!
I don't like the velvet hangers, but I do like the thinner hangers like them. WalMart sells them, and you can get just plain ones or ones that have the rubber on them that do the same thing as the velvet ones - so your shirts don't slide off. I've had the velvet ones and over time that velvet 'sheds'. I had my husband drill holes in the Walmart version right below the metal hanger part and now they can be hung 2-3-4 in a 'stack' so I save space that way. (Wish I could post a picture so you get what I mean!) We live in a century home and have zero closet space, so I've had to improvise A LOT.
I use something similar to #7. They are hanger clips from Amazon. They are plastic clips that go over the top part of the hanger, allowing you to vertically hang items. Mine isn't a chain, but I like that too. I have space since I have two walk in closets but I like using these to group, same color items.

The pant hangers are excellent. I bought three (3). I used two got pants and one for my bras. The packet comes with steel clip ons.

Love the velvet hangers but you need little “s” curves over the hook in order to stack them and that’s what really saves the closet space!

I did the reverse and replaced all my wood hangars, which were beautiful, with velvet because the wood hangars took up too much space.
