I have no idea what a brilliant Sun feels like. Saturn opposes my Sun, (conjunct Chiron) and squares my Moon. Humility, pain and barriers are just about all I know, and the sickness and servitude of my 6th House Sun is the opposite of what I want in life. I need to shine. I'm so tired of the pain.

@@CassiusAntaresI would rather say you are Fortunate to be only 36. Although our birth chart shows us our own personal "reality of life" there are things we can do to change those circumstances. Investigate Family Constallations, and do a few sessions if you can. You may be surprised at the results and how your life can improve.

This conjunction with a Leo rising can get confusing! I'm working on my dimmer switch but sometimes I just hit the lights and hide.
Also, silence and emptiness describes my feelings about this Thanksgiving. Although I'm comfortable with silence, I am feeling this theme and that my family will not be getting together, because we're just not feeling very connected right now.

An interesting Sun/Saturn signature I've found in my life (Leo Rising, Aquarius Sun, Stellium with Saturn in Capricorn) is a bit opposite of the first point. The Individuating process is always met with a heavy dose of ego checking aimed at convincing me there is only the other/whole and no Self, which the Self does not like. Both my Father and I seem to only feel seen by others, when we kill ourselves for their sake.

Transiting Saturn is still in orb of my 2nd Saturn Return - Saturn in a grand air trine with Venus and NorthNode - so the best way to not feel over-shadowed by grand-daddy Saturn's sternness is to be loving towards mySelf and create things that fill me with joy (Venus in Libra).
In childhood, due to intelligence and talent, everybody expected more from me than from others. Whatsoever I delivered, there was always some fault.
While it made me strive for excellence, it also gave me the feeling that less than perfect is not good enough; it set my benchmark so high that I cannot ever reach it.
Saturn serves as a dimmer for my obsessive Scorpio Sun; the more I allow it to moderate certain manic aspects and give structure to the expression of my energies, the lesser it needs to give me frustration and depression^^.
Therefore, while I do feel Saturn's heaviness physically these days (in my 1st house), I've learned to welcome the opportunity for allowing my sunny essence to re-balance with my Saturnian form.

All while the Mars Sun cazimi is transiting my 3rd house Scorpio which is being squared by my Leo 12th house PLUTO. 🤦♀️ Today, I promptly came down with the flu, my phone broke, and I nearly lost my very important client whose book I am publishing (my 9th house Taurus has my Mercury at 8*). I have a tsquare mars sun saturn. Sun being the apix of the t square. I think I have become very good at these things. I was thinking about the dimming switch and I think when I was younger i shone very bright. Maybe to the point of arrogance. and I felt others tried to dim my light. They actually succeed. I became very isolated and shy. Now im coming back with more humility. Now knowing that the path of the sun does not depend on the light that others reflect , like the moon. the sun shines regardless of the recognition that others give to that light. I think thats a lesson ive learned :)

I quit my job a few days ago. I have nothing left in me at the moment. My birthday is Friday and I'll be 47. It's also my 4th year anniversary with my gf and now i have no money and no motivation 😢... This video helped me realize i need to get out of my ego. I need to ask for help. Ty Adam I've studied Astrology for 20 years and every day i learn more about how it can help build me up and at times break me down. It's comforting to know I'm not alone during darkness. I'm still not sure what i want to do when i grow up or even if i really want to grow up. I can't get out of bed but this video woke me up literally and figuratively. This darkness will pass and a better life is on the other side of this chapter. Sending blessings to everyone and a special thanksgiving vibe to great teachers like Adam for keeping me going when stuck in a tunnel of my own ego.

I learned an important lesson about “no” from my Grampa-whose chart I’ll never see-and this makes me wonder what sun/saturn dynamics were going on for him. One of his mantras was “always ask, the worst thing that can happen is someone will say no.” Words I keep with me for courage to ask hard questions and stay curious.
Same :) mine is "IF you don't ask, the answer is ALWAYS no" ....but lately, it's been seeping into my awareness (bc I tend to not even bother asking if I'm not 90% certain the answer will be yes, perhaps my Pluto/Saturn square Mercury?) Definitely had a dose of humility this week, reframing feelings of inadequacy or being a fraud due to insecurity from past experiences, by seeing any absolute identification as fraudulent- reminds me a lot of my first acid trip in my teens, which I think was also a sun/saturn transit. I came to the thought (in a very juvenile way lol) that identity is fickle. Functionless beyond describing a single part, and can't be intrinsic, all our parts are only potential, no matter how much we desire or fear to be those things in definite terms. So much is formed by both "negative" and "positive" encounters with each other's parts. It's definitely hit me as a revision of what's already known on an intellectual level, it often feels like the saturnian "checking" for myself ends up with me being challenged in ways that test how integrated vs intellectualised those ideas are, what's been missing, and how much that benefits not just myself, but those that may depend on me. I value these transits a lot retrospectively, they always help me fill in the cognitive blanks or break out of false dichotomies. It's a fun time as always !

This was helpful. I've got a Sun/Saturn opposition in my natal chart and am approaching in last phase of my second Saturn return. Saturn issues have hovered over me all of my life. Given Saturn's position in my chart, the past year has been challenging to say the least - but your video confirms how I need to keep pressing forward (and how I can) during this transit, and in the final phase of this last return. Today here in Australia the movie Napoleon opens. I personally think he is the perfect example of this Sun-Saturn relationship. He just got too greedy and arrogant so Saturn hammered him down. I always remind my son of this...always remember that you were a tadpole before you became a frog..please dont be or hang around obnoxious toads. This is all I can give to him these days. Its been something very moving, libertating but heartbreaking at the same time. As the square is happening right after Mars´Cazzimi which landed right on top pf my natal Pluto in the 1st house (with a scorpio stellium btw) and sqare my natal Aqua moon... BRUTAL ! Its like the square is helpring me embrace my "new recently diagnosed self" as just another version of who I AM. No issues in sun & Saturn, but it’s my Saturn in Pisces 1st house return and also have Pisces rising on my ascendant. Both at late degrees. Been most challenging period of my life since Saturn entered Pisces and ongoing..
This so spoke to me . I was born with Sun (12 degrees Virgo 12th ) Square Saturn (9 degrees In Sag 3rd ) . My dad died in a car accident when I was 12 years old. I also have Mars conjunct Sun and Mercury RX , 12 house... I have used this natal energy to delve deep into the unknown...it feels familiar to me. Since natal Pluto is also in the 12th, death always feels familiar to me. This transiting Sun Square Saturn and Mars conjunct the Sun...I am a current student in Night Light Astrology 27,( woop woop) started my Spanish class today and finishing up my certification for BrainSpotting as a healing modality. ( Just saying this on this screen feels too sunny...I like things a bit more quiet...Yeah , I am feeling aligned and the Shadow cards have been coming up this week when I do my devotional practices using oracle cards. I love you so much for this! I have sun in Aqua H1(conj mercury combust) square Saturn in Taurus h4, and i have been trying to understand this aspect for half of my life now! Even Liz Greene's explanation has not been this enlightening. It's so funny though--past 10 years i have been getting these understandings. My guess is because i am Cap moon conj Cap ASC, and Pluto has been transiting h12. Now i am consciously aware of how this is playing out, I can be more ready and intentional to stay out of my arrogant ego and be curious, stay open amd reflective.
This is tough at times....learning not to make it about me, not taking responsibility for things going wrong all of the time (let others own their sh*t), and certainly not letting other ppl's negation be the last and final word about who i am, but also be curious about the other and their desires, and discovering new relationship patterns to work through these challenges (h7), and learning to pivot and redefine my goals/work/mission(h10) when needed.
I am a new student of evolutionary astrology. This interp of Saturn square Sun aligns with the EA sun/saturn concept of releasing parental conditioning--that which the parent negatively projects onto the child must be released for soul growth and individuation. The child may encounter negation in the outer world if projecting its sense of umportance too brightly, only to re-exprerience the negation of the parent. The child (Leo) has to learn to go through the purifucation of Virgo to get in healthy balance with others (Libra -Saturn exaltation). Your interp gives me greater clarity.🙏🏾🙏🏾 #grabbed

It has taught me patience in a way that was more like a “well you have no other choice because you can’t have this right now and maybe will never, so HA HA!” Really does make a person want to stop trying and striving and at times has seemingly defeated my will. But then I sleep and get something to eat and find some glimmer of light to chase after again. What else is there to do but keep going, right?
Probably the best explanation of this aspect that I've heard. I have this in my natal chart with Sun in gemini in the 11th house squaring a pisces Saturn in the 8th house. Life for me to this point has been a nightmare of constant inner conflict and issues figuring out who the fuck I actually am.

Love how you described that dance of the deer coming out of the forest only to go back . Sometimes in 'pursuit of that caling'/dream' we can get caught up in manifesting that perceived vision - that so called bigger picture. Today I cane across a mosaic mural composed of different individual tiles that from afar formed the image of a specific landscape (a community). Upon closer observation, I noticed each tile was its own distinct artwork - abstract painting, words, paintings of objects, animals etc. I then understood what the soul wants. The bigger vision is far greater than what can be seen from the personification of one mind. The soul is each its own changing expression of authenticity and how the pieces fit together are far beyond what any one of us can comprehend. I feel the sun's square to saturn is difficult because it takes a lot of humility to navigate this dance as you have so clearly described. Thank you so much.

Yes, Saturn is the master of change. Crisis itself is a matter of change and Saturn often symbolizes crisis. I have Mars conjoined with Saturn and in my experience Saturn has never been a symbol of stasis.
I have a Saturn right opposite my scorpion ascendant. I play with the dimmer all the time :)

That’s a difficult part, for me
This was fascinating! I hadn’t thought about the opposing natures of sun and Saturn, as reflected in their dignity and exaltation. I have sun square Saturn.- sun in aries and saturn in Capricorn. I’m pretty old so I have been through two Saturn returns. I think the most difficult circumstance has been that I have so little time to pursue much of what I love. I work too much.

My Moon in Aries wants freedom and my Saturn in Cancer squareing my Moon puts the breaks on and puts limitations in place. My conclusion: it is good to have patience and stamina but it is frustrating as heck when you want to fly out of the gate STAT ✌️

Not sure about the dimmer switch, for some people it is not a good habit to decrease themselves in order to make other people less uncomfortable.

Natal 12th house Sun squared Saturn (which also opposes my MC)
My son's Taurus Saturn Rx is conjunct his father's Sun in synastry and his father has Sun/Saturn ~5° conjunction in his natal chart. So the 2 Saturns are within an 8° orb.
Transiting saturn is sextile to my Natal Saturn and Pluto and today on a nice walk I slipped on the dirt road and rolled my ankle, heard a pop and I think I sprained it. I’m a Pisces rising. I just feel so depleted.

Oh the irony...Libra Sun in 1st square Aqua Saturn in 4th /opposite Leo Mars in 10th conjunct NN (exact degree) opposite/Saturn, Mars also square my Sun/Libra Mercury 12th trine Saturn...I did not meet my father until I was 19 and he died soon after. Raised 4 children and put through college on my own. Took care of Mom for 4 years untils she passed (family karma cleared) I am always the favorite at a party, but secretly cannot wait to get back to my rabbit hole. Thank God I stumbled into astrology. Saturn wins..definitely more giving than taking in this life, but I will not complain. 😊
