This voice and music is like a fresh wind, a crackling wood burner, and a murmuring of the ocean at the same time. Thank you.
Simply. Cosmic. Julie.
I thank God for your art and you Julie.
This takes me away to a place where there is no evil, no hatred, no war, no annihilation . . . only peace, love and beauty.
indeed it is a calming and peaceful song but contrasts to the mood of the poem since it is about how a "circle around the moon" is a symbol of a bad omen.... in the poem, the writer mentions the three instances she sees the circle around the moon where: 1.) their crops were swept to sea 2.) she had a heart break and 3.) her husband leaves for England and she fears he might never come back.
Love this, love all Julie's work and the way she brings a bright, new voice while holding true to the ancient tradition of her land
. Thank you.
Julie's speaking voice is almost as perfect as her singing voice. Perfect, clear, exquisite, emotional and like beautiful bells.
My English teacher came from Sky and he only spoke Gaelic until he was 15. He then learnt English as a second language and this was pure English. Julie’s English voice with its Scot’s overtones makes my heart tingle, It is purity with accent combined.
Such glorious haunting melodies, bringing me to tears.
She reminds me of the norwegian singer AURORA
