The only Baba one I want is MYthical Creatures but they are out of my price range even on release. I came very close to owning the Wayhome tarot because I adore the hermit card so much (snuggly bear
The Mythical Creatures deck is gorgeous and I don’t think a video captures how truly beautiful it is! I understand your stance on the Wayhome Tarot...I have lots of decks where I love 5 cards or less, so I couldn’t justify buying them. I did buy a couple of them, but they were mass market decks, so not a big investment. But...they remain unused. Lesson learned!
Loving these videos Bonnie - your collection is splendid. I love Dame Darcy's Mermaid Tarot too and I'm the same with my Bohemian Gothic - I have the mini one too and I want the full size one! The Sasuraibito is such a workhorse for me as well - I love it. Amazing decks - so beautiful. Thank you for sharing! Xx
Thank you, Emily! That darn Bohemian Gothic! It’s out of my reach now! I’m hoping one will show up in my price range when hubby gets his bonus at the end of March or that Baba Studios decides to reprint it. If you find out anything about a reprint please let me know wink 😉 !

Hi Bonnie, fellow Austinite here, so I wanted to leave a comment! 😄 You have an amazing collection, thank you for sharing. I started my tarot journey last February and came to learn about so many decks through TarotTube. At first, I started with mass market decks, thinking that indie decks were too pricey for me, but there are so many gorgeous ones. Now my small collection consists of mostly indie decks lol I’m waiting on the star seeker tarot, so excited for it!
Yay!!!! A fellow Austenite! It’s easy to fall down a rabbit hole with indie decks! I can see myself paring down my collection in the future to decks that I grab consistently. But for right now, it’s still a great experiment! Do you gravitate towards modern or old artwork?
@@oldsoulmermaid1543 I gravitate more towards old artwork than modern art, but it all depends.. lol I'm anxiously waiting for baba studios to announce when they're going to do the reprint of their victorian romantic tarot this year. It's definitely at the top of my wishlist.

The Alice Tarot is the only Boba Studios deck that I really want. But I don't want it £300 much. If it came back in stock at a lower price I might go for it...
Hopefully, they will reprint all of their decks at least one more time before they totally leave producing tarot decks! I think I read on their website that there is an upcoming reprint of the Victorian Romantic. I’m hoping for a reprint of the Bohemian Gothic, but the prices on eBay are sadly out of my range now. I really want the 3rd edition! If they do a reprint of the Alice deck, I might consider getting a 2nd copy. It’s really special!

Love Baba Studio's decks! Always top spot in my collection. I wish they would reprint the Fairy Tale tarot. Also wish they would reconsider leaving the tarot deck creation business. No one can match them. I have been collecting mostly indie decks the past 3 or 4 years. Once I discovered Kickstarter, I was hooked. I love helping out artists and especially those in the tarot community. But my backed campaigns hit over 200 so I need to quit backing or find a creative way to move many of them on. My son has a metaphysical shop in Iowa, and I am thinking of donating, so others can discover the beauty of holding an indie deck in their hands. The problem is me. I start going through them and fall in love all over again. I need help. lol I have too many. What is it about art that moves the soul so? Thanks for sharing. I enjoy your videos. 🙏
I am heartbroken about Baba Studios’ decision. They did say they are planning on reprinting some of their decks starting with the Victorian Romantic. After that, they haven’t indicated what would follow. I’m hoping for the Bohemian Gothic, but they already did 3 printings of that and I missed out 😔. Does your son’s shop have an online shop? I think it’s wonderful that he has a metaphysical shop!

Thank you for your review, I fell in love with the keymaster, where did you buy it? It is difficult to find, when this super mega expensive appears for me 😔 it is a super difficult piece to find today.

I know you love the DD Mermaid deck, and I don’t mean to burst your clamshell lol, but you might want to look up a blog post a few years ago by Benebell Wen regarding the similarities between that deck and another mermaid deck. Interesting read, for sure. Since I’m married to an artist, I’m sensitive to that topic. ☺️ I couldn’t buy it after reading that post. 😔 Love that Anima Mundi deck. Sigh. I have the Sasuraibito deck and love it. I waited and got a “B” deck for a discounted price. The corner of the box was slightly dinged but the box is so strong that the cards were perfect! The Star Seeker Tarot reminds me of a cross between Danielle Noel decks and The Spacious Tarot! ☺️ Very nice! Thanks for sharing Bonnie! Lovely collection!
I bought the DD Mermaid deck early in my Tarot journey and before I knew about the controversy and have since heard tidbits about it on TH-cam after I started reading with the deck. I’m still making my way through Benebel’s blog, but I’ll make a point to read that entry. There is a fine line between being influenced by something and downright ripping off. I can understand how this would affect you and your husband. It would literally be like having a beloved pet or child taken away from you. The deck is a super easy reader for me, but I will go and search for Benebel’s blog about it. Thank you for the heads up 🙂❤️
@@oldsoulmermaid1543 Yeah it's a tough call. I don't own it so I don't know if DD gives credit for inspiration in the booklet or not. I mean, you have hundreds of RWS "inspired" decks that are almost identical copies and there's no beef there. But what gets me is the copyright on DD cards like "don't steal MY image" LOL... I can certainly see there being inspiration from the copied deck, but the flow of the scarves, the exact placement of the oars in the 10, the exact body positions, things like that are hard to ignore and really *should* be credited by DD, in my opinion. Had they done that from the start, there would have been no controversy, as many RWS decks out there today are copies ("inspired by") too, right? lol It's a really cute deck and people love it, obviously! :-) We've just been victim of the rip-off ourselves so it's an area that hits home. Everyone has different ways of looking at things, and had we not been ripped off (repeatedly lol), I'd probably not feel as strongly. ;-)
Ooo... I’m so sorry about your experience. I would like to see the original images in question. Yes... there are so many RWS clones where only the clothes or colors have been changed. Such a fine line!

What is the name of the tool you use to open the tuck boxes?
It’s one part of a sewing tool used to thread elastic through waistbands! It’s called a Bodkin. A small letter opener would work too.
