Rewstching and need to correct one. The girl scouts started before 1965, my year of graduation. Way before as I wanted to join in earlier years but was forbidden by my parents for whatever reason.

    So many memories there.
My Auntie Nellie (Passi) and her family lived a block and a half away, all her kids went there.
2 months before my mother passed away (Mary Micele Kelly), I lived with my aunt and attended St. Jerome's from 4th-8th grade.
The majority of my memories are good ones, with the exception of Fr. Dominick and how cruel he was to myself and family upon my mother's death (1/17/67).
He was completely and utterly cold-hearted when my Aunt and I went to the rectory to discuss services for my mother.
I am now 65 years old and the memory of that 9 year old little girl, still lives in my heart and soul and how cruel he was about not letting her be brought in for Mass.....because she had gotten divorced from her 1st husband who beat her on a daily basis.
    So much for Christian/Catholic compassion.
He was very cruel to the parish kids as well.....no child should have to fear their priest(s).
And to this day, I still curse him for having to be the one who officiated her burial.
Jebi se, nadam se da gori u paklu.
    P. S.
I still wonder if the rumors of him sexually abusing the alter boys is true.
If so, may he truly continue to burn in Hell.
