Dude is living my dream! Amazing to fly at this age!!! I'm 15 btw and i only fly model planes but a real plane is a big difference. Stay aware in the air! 🤩🤩
will never forget my first solo at 16 in the UK. My first radio call at the runway hold point I completely melted in panic " tower standby" I believe was the only thing that I could say to compose myself...... took a few seconds, scanned the cockpit, took a good look around and wiggled the flight controls to..... reconnect with what was going on, contacted Tower again and advised to line up and wait, upon lining up I was given take off clearance for the pattern and a few moments later, I put in 50٪ power, released the brakes, and advanced the throttle to 100% gradually, giving adequate rudder input, and up I went.... thrilling and equally terrifying but so proud of myself.... Well done young man, safe flying.
You actually know me, and still do to this day. I have absolutely no interest in aviation whatsoever. But your accomplishments have inspired and motivated me through the lowest points in my life, and continue to do so. I aspire to become just as great in the field that I have passion for. I thank you, Adam, and others like you in my life,❤.
I soloed in a Champ, did my primary training in a Piper Cherokee and Archer and eventually bought a Citabria. I am now shopping for an RV8. I love this kid, by the way. May he have a long flying career. Tailwinds, young man!
14 could never happen in the U.S. I was wondering where he got to do this and he said Canada. Hope this is correct. Nice young man and I wish him all success possible.
In the U.S., the minimum age to fly SOLO is 16. The minimum for a private pilot license is 17, and 18 for commercial. Congrats on this young man of 14. Look up the girl of 13 who is working towards being a competitive aerobatic pilot.
Hey Adam; FlightChops sent me! Steve and I have been friends for a while; I'm also a CAM member. I built my own RV-8; Steve covered the first flight on his channel with Dave Carrick as test pilot (That Did Not Go As Planned). Lots of RV-8 content on my channel. Glad you shared your first RV-8 solo flight here! Hope to meet you someday and we can compare notes on the RV-8.
Excellent video! I found you through my kid who was watching a video of you. I said that looks like an RV8! I went to investigate to make sure and found out on your channel, it was indeed a Vans RV8. Great video and I enjoyed watching you kill your solo!
Congrats. I soloed a sailplane on my 14th birthday and a Citabria on my 16th birthday. Not to rain on your parade, but doesn't FAA require a pilot to be 16 years of age for everything except glider and balloon in the US? Is it the same in Canada? I hope the Canadians are more reasonable on their age requirements.
This is so cool here you have to ve 18 the fly alone but you can train early on sadly its kinda expensive and an 1hr away but hopefully one day i will fly a plane
Hey, I wanted to ask you what you thought of the RV8. The Blanca is a lot more expensive and not very fast. The RV is super fuel efficient. One of my favorite planes of all time is the Nemisis NXT.
Congratulations and well done! I'm curious, is there a reason you three point the RV-8 as opposed to wheel landings? I was taught to always wheel land except for short field work. But I have no experience in high performance aerobatic airplanes.
I started my training on the Citabria which I always three pointed, so I decided to stick with three points in the transition to the RV8. I have been practicing lots of wheel landings since this video and the RV8 sure does wheel land nice!
Awesome video! I soloed at 15 (glider) and 16 (powered) and still remember those days 30 years later. How long have you been taking lessons? What did you use for ground school?
NOTE ONE THING. When talking on the radio, DO NOT assume others hear everything you say. AND, Make sure you COMPLETE your statement with GOOD VOLUME and not ease off with a whisper as you finish. Good job.
You are absolutely correct in the United States 14 CFR 61.83(A) states that a student pilot must be 16 years old. But in Canada CAR (Canadian Aviation Regulation) 421.19(B) states that the pilot must be 14 years old.

Bro same here
I just got the 1220 mm ranger on fms and I’m 13
"Somehow it's tremendous freedom and sheer terror", WORD.
Beautiful plane and beautiful landing.

I built an RV-8 and flew it for 10 years.
What an inspiration you are to young and old alike.

What is the restricted age for the US?

That’s what I’m saying
@@DeltaIsGaming you could start training at 14 in the US but it can only be a plane that the training school assigned to you
@@BryClemons Nice, I’m thinking of going to Lewis University. I have some relatives who went there that are now Pilots.
I’m in Australia hoping to get my pilot liscense thank you for inspiring me

The three point landing in a tail dragger is always impressive, especially with such limited flight time. I'd say you nailed it! Impressive indeed!
Watched this young man practice for the Canadian aerobatic competitions, what an amazing young pilot!

In Canada we are allowed to solo at 14!
😊hey i was just wondering could you make a video on how you got you license
His first video does that
I’m 13 and I’m ready to start lessons lol, I’m aiming for 14. Your vids are very inspiring to me to become a young pilot

How come you quite posting vids. People, would watch those!
Upcoming series on building an airplane👊!
Proud of you and I’m sure you’re talented but allowing 14 year olds solo powered is wild! I don’t want to be driving near anyone under the age of 25
This would be my dream❤❤❤❤😊
Underrated bro keep up the work pewdiepie would be proud

I cannot believe you can do this when you’re 14
Hi Adam im 13 i reelie wand to fly with jou but jour in us and im in South Africa i cant fly antil im 16 so plz respond i want to talk with jou plz😁
The FAA requires you to be 16 years old to solo 🧐 something’s not adding up here lol

it's hard to learn to fly?
stop showing this video in the middle of class
I wonder if DAD lets him play with guns too........
No "Child" should be doing this!
Age and maturity are often poorly correlated. I’m met plenty of pilots over the last 30 years and this kid seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
FAA min. age for solo is 16.
Note the leading 'C' in the tail number. That means the airplane is registered in Canadia.
... you know there are other countries that speak English in the world, besides the US?
Yeah, I read about that somewhere, sometime. What does that have to do with the tail number? @@SpidaMez
