    I use some Sonoff products like the 4ch pro r2 that's 12v and 240v with WiFi and rf remote control and working with Ewelink app and get pushed notifications and work with Amazon Alexa aswell , built my system that way but limited to the pir sensors. Also relays are just switches can use supply voltage or both 12v or 240v for switches. Also for our sensors to sending signals to the 4ch pro r2 you will need to purchase the Sonoff rf bridge aswell. Thanks for posting. Hope that Africans don't jump over the beams lol.

    Nice one ! Maybe you could make a video of what you need to connect to the alarm ?

      Has a video been uploaded yet to see this? I've gotten to the same point he left off at the end but only need it to trip a different zone in the alarm system than the connect beam does..

    looking at setting up these or other sensors, could you do a review of best sensors??? please.

    I’ve found that by using a 4.5in grinder with a concrete blade you can cut out the mortar joints and cover the wire inside the cut and add new mortar. This is a much cleaner installation and the wiring isn’t revealed

    Hi EcologicalTime, Im just about to buy these for my bungalow. Would you give me your feedback if they are still working well at your home. Are these reliable ? Any false alarms ? Your maximum inputs will be greatly appreciated !

    • @ecologicaltime
      @ecologicaltime  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      these particular ones from IDS are very reliable. Never had an issue, installed many. They do consume a fair amount of current relative to PIRs and do not have any modulation. False alarms, only for Hadida birds which set off any type of sensor.

      Tried that. Not so easy over long distance (30m in my case). About 15m away you start losing the line up, then you have to step forward again and start over. Could not do it.

    I have a question, is there a way to "earth" these beams as when we have bad thunderstorms it killed our alarm Unit, or even install some kind of protection?. My indoor alarm has no issues only the Alarm unit that connects the sets of beams.

    • @ecologicaltime
      @ecologicaltime  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      earthing will make it worse. Rather connect them wireless. I will be doing some videos showing wireless connection in the future.

    Hello,
    I have installed the sensors on a door that if sombody passes by it will trigger a Dc/Ac relay then it will go to a timer relay that will power a water pump. It is working all good the only issue i have is that the relay from the sensor send signal for only 2 seconds and then it off.
    What is the solution please? There is no timer relay in the sensor.

    • @ecologicaltime
      @ecologicaltime  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can use a one shot timer to increase the period. You can make one using RLC circuit or 555 IC, or you can buy it as an electronic kit. You can set the one shot timer to be anything from milliseconds to hours.
