Thank you for the video. Two weeks ago I bought the same fake on the local equivalent of Ebay for about $160. The same problems with the color of the discs, the third album, etc. I watched your video, became convinced that it was fake, and wrote to the seller about it yesterday. Let's see how it all ends. I would like to wish bad things to the authors of any fakes.
I hope can expose the seller and get a refund. I am glad the video helped just wish you seen it sooner. Wish you the best outcome.
I must of got the first batch of the counterfeits because they look nowhere near the imperfections that yours has. My House Of The Holy looks really good with a great scan of the centerfold for the gatefold and the coloration of the other albums look good. The CDs are discolored compared to the official and I do have the same issue with the 3rd album, Physical Graffiti and of course In through the Out Door. Albums not having the paper bag, pin wheel etc. The live album had the same issues, especially with booklet not being stapled but the text is clear. No texture on the jacket. ITTOD did have the 5 alternate albums plus the 6th in the cardboard box. lol. My collection also had the cheap paper bags. I bought this years ago when I was a late teen/early 20’s. Boy was I disappointed when I found out years later they were fake. At the time I paid about 60 dollars on eBay. Still a bummer to this day. The CDs do work but nothing to brag about.
Jonathan yea I could of at least got a decent counterfeit copy would of been better LOL. Yours does not sound too bad then. The CDs play fine but like yours sound nothing to brag about. That’s good news …it’s really a great set.
I am an authentic one and a counterfeit one, trust me I know the feeling of getting scammed, but what I did with my counterfeit was I put it in my garage where I work on cars and I don't care what happens to it. I do painting, etc. It serves that purpose. Fortunately for me I paid $42 for the knockoff on eBay.

I cannot believe it Vance. No wheel in the III. The inner gate of Houses? Awful. The blurred track listings on The Song. The whole thing is pretty bad and I am sorry that it happened. You can turn the whole thing around and look at it like a collectible. But you would need to get one of the official Japanese pressings first to take the sting out of buying that one. There is a way that you can get reimbursed through eBay. Legally they cannot be associated with sellers. Let me know what you are going to do if anything VK. I will help you look into it if you want me too.
Excellent video by the way. I hope that everyone who was in the market for this or any other Japanese box sets watches this first~

Paneeks1960 {Rob/Boston} ...Rob, it was not a eBay seller. It was a site called Dark Punk which I think people can sell there stuff on. I would have to dig up the email with the seller info and should of to expose them. But it’s not worth the effort since they never responded before. I did make this to show others what to look out for . I thought I was not going to get it so at least I got this not what was advertised but at least it’s something. Just an FYI in case you weren't aware :
I know you didn't get this off of eBay, but if you purchased it through PayPal, you get a full 180 days to return an item.
That's 6 months.
I try to use PayPal for most everything that I buy online for that reason.

Yea I knew the price was too good to be true but all the pics were of the legit one...so I guess it was a gamble. But I did get a product so far CDs are not terrible and it’s now a conversation piece but I need to find a real copy still.
@@zeppearl yes u need to find a copy. in my channel you can see a lot of the fake ones but do me a favor if u bay the fake one go to the source - site like aliexpress seal it with best the low price - this day I hear the AC DC box set form them they did a great job there - my son (:

Bipbopboom Jon the kick in the ass is the site is based in Portland but it’s sellers from all over the world. But the pics showed the correct real item. So not anyway to tell till I got it . I sent a few emails about false advertising but it’s still up on the page .
You can buy on Aliexpress for £29 ...I bought Black box Black Sabbath fake box every album for £30 ... sound is excellent....There are other boxes Beatles, AC/DC , Judas Priest, Rolling Stones etc ...all like £30 - 40
