Great video! I sail 420 Laura Dekker and could not be happier! Takes me less than 20 minutes from applying handbrake to sailing!

The red beard sailing website he talks through the install and it took 50 mins with tons of stopping to explain things, 30 to break down and package with equal amounts of explaining

Hugh, you'd have no worries, we have many sailors all over the world who bought a MiniCat as their first boat. As a catamaran you've got greater stability and because of the light weight you can easily start off in very light wind, then go from there. If you need any help please drop me a line: petra@minicatamaran.eu

Hi, MiniCat is unique as it will sail on very light wind so you tack and turn. You can also carry paddles or even a small outboard motor. Many yacht owners also use their MiniCat as a tender by dropping the mast and using an electric outboard. Please check out our website for all the details: www.minicatamaran.eu

NIce concept, just not for me. Given the excessive set up time, I'd rather trailer a Hobie Adventure Island to the shore and spend just five minutes setting it up. Like I said, I like the concept but for this kind of money, you can spend a few bucks more and have an Adventure Island which you can take pretty much anywhere because it is more of a real boat. Just my opinion but again I do see where MiniCat can work for some people.

I am the owner of a 420 minicat and I live 50 meters from the sea. Where I live, the running costs for a 6-meter boat are € 2 - 2500 per year. I bought an orange minicat 420 emotion and thanks to him, I have no management costs. Certainly it is not a 21 foot monohull or a "LAGOON" but if you want to sail at no additional cost it is a valid solution. Its strong point is the ability to take it by car or camper and have a sailboat ready for use in 45 minutes. And it's surprisingly fast too.
