The funny thing is that people like Brian are the sick ones, deluded by a fiendish reverence for excessive amounts of money and power. People like Brian Thompson epitomize the sickness and derangement of our corporate society that values greed over all else, including human lives. The suspect is actually the sane one, who felt pain for both himself and the millions who suffer every year under the oppression of companies like UHC. The suspect saw that nothing will change without some monumental act of courage, and he sacrificed himself for a cause. He is by far the more tethered to reality of the two people involved in this case.
Becoming a NYC CEO of a major company is nothing to sneeze at. A lot of effort extinguished without a trial for himself. Not to say, it wasn't effective in waking people up.

The MSM is not a shadowy entity. It is made up of individual humans in pursuit of one goal through profiteering, just like all of us: live a comfortable life. At least we get hot showers, right? We live like royalty in the US compared to billions of other people. The death of Brian Thompson did nothing to help the unjust healthcare system in the US.
Please Stop referring to the CEO as a Father. He’s a professional person who chose to put his boot on the neck of potentially multiple thousands of Fathers, Mothers, Children. He’s a professional profited greatly. His kids won’t have to worry about healthcare cost. This alleged suspect AP had to have been at the end of his rope to cut ties with his family. @@juliedepaolo9971 Yes, he wanted it that way as he is making a statement to those who are corrupt. We all know they are, we've experienced it for decades to date.
Becoming angry and fed up after witnessing prolonged and rewarded unjust behavior isn't a sign of mental illness. Yes what he did is illegal but if anyone looks you in the eye and says they don't understand why he did it, that person is lying to both you and themselves. I hope he's tried in New York City because if so he has a very real chance of being acquitted by a jury of his peers. I can't speak to what he would do with his life after that happens, but it would at least be a moment in history that we could point to to show that the middle class has its own version of power that money simply can't buy. It shouldn't have to be fear that motivates the rich to do the right thing, but it also shouldn't be money that motivates them to do the wrong thing. I feel sorry for Brian's family, but at the end of the day this would not have happened to him had he made better decisions that were well within his power to make.
Brian was too brainwashed by money and the corporate system to do the right thing. He lost his way a long time ago. Everyone is focused on what went wrong with the person that did this, but there is no mention of Brian’s sinister motives, in which he makes $18 million per year while poor people suffer at his hands. Their premiums go to paying his salary and making him rich instead of paying for their much needed healthcare. Brian represents the sickness of the American corporate system. Insurance is supposed to be about helping people in need, not making huge profits and paying CEOs millions of dollars. No CEO needs to earn $10 million. $200,000 is more than enough. The rest of that money should go toward saving lives and helping people who are struggling. It doesn’t matter how much it costs, if someone’s life is on the line, the priority should be to help them and save their life. Insurance companies shouldn’t be sitting on billions while people can’t get the care they need. People pay for insurance to help others in need, trusting they’ll get help when it’s their turn.

Their premiums go to paying his salary and making him rich instead of paying for their much needed healthcare. Brian represents the sickness of the American corporate system. That his behavior was tolerated just goes to show how warped our society is.
Just stop. Kamala lost. Quit telling everybody what they should make.

Most mentally ill people never engage in violence in their entire lifetimes. Let's consider that maybe, just maybe, whether it was right, wrong, or somewhere in between, that this killing happened for a very obvious reason that did not require mental illness.
You’re missing the POINT that mental illness can drive some people to commit these types of crimes. First rule of jury nullification: DO NOT TALK ABOUT JURY NULLIFICATION! It's one of the justice system’s biggest secrets. No judge, attorney, or official will tell you about it. Guys, this country doesn’t give a rats ass that the leading cause of death for children is death by firearm. What makes you think they give a rats ass about denying claims for live saving treatments. The name of the game is profits at all cost.
This country only cares about the rich & wealthy. It has been proven to us time & time again. We need to unite in revolution!! ✊️
f by “children” you mean gangbangers under the age of 22 ( which is a vast majority of the child deaths by firearms statistics) then yes. But if you mean innocent children, then you are dangerously wrong and you have been seriously misled about the actual facts.
Valid reasons to deny?????? You’re out of touch with reality
That CEO was dirty. Inside trading. Maximizing profits by denying ppl who paid their premius
Joe Rogan is right. Very dirlty
But he didn't Murder anyone smh
That is a BUSINESS. Get healthcare.gov and shop around. Get education and better paying job. Stop blaming the CEO when he is not directly denying anyone. He is busy with BUSINESS matters not bill codes. Smh

Brian Thompson is/was the bigeest murderer.
So because people think u did them wrong does that give them the right to gun u down ?
@censorshipisreal3153 The USA has done that around the world for the last 100 years.
@maryjaneshoe-fm4yr Brian Thompson was a popular murderer.
the narrative will be:
About Luigi: he's crazy, he's priviledged, he had no real motive.
About the CEO: Family man, family suffering, he was just doing his job

It's not "some" people sympathizing with Luigi Mangione. It's most poeple.
I was an international student, and I was required to have health insurance. The university used United Healthcare, and they wouldn't even cover my yearly check-up.
I mean, McDonald's did let a convicted felon host a photo op there. I thought they were fine with criminals.
That was a witch hunt

Sanjay please… back pain is the fucking worst!!! It radiates throughout your entire body! Do not downplay his pain which can change brain chemistry!
Are you a neurosurgeon?
I laughed at the guy with the spine! Luigi had a spine and took and evil man out. While I don’t condone murder, is this what it really takes to get us to talk about how messed up this system is??
Things need to change in corporate capitalistic America. It's inevitable.
The fear in C-suites is a sign of guilt. Has been a long time coming.
No, the fear is not a sign of guilt, it's a rational response to all of these social media crazies.
@@sdrfz If the fear is not a sign of guilt then these C-suites are psychopaths. PSYCHOPATH: (1) reckless disregard for the safety of oneself or others; (2) failure to meet important adult responsibilities, including job- and family-related duties and financial obligations; and (3) lack of meaningful remorse or guilt-to the point of complete indifference
Hating the C-Suites is and has been typical of millions of Americans for obvious reasons.

Have you seen how much these insurance execs are paid annually not including bonus, fringe benefits, etc? No wonder they don't want to pay claims. The execs need more mansions, bigger yachts, more of this, bigger that, etc. They'll never have enough money. 100 billion wouldn't be enough for any one of them.
They also increase the stock price so your 401k/investments go up. Quit being lazy.
This is so sad that one man-Brian Thompson had to lose his life for a problem way bigger than him. Our healthcare system is broken, and it seems that no one has the mental capacity or moral capacity to fix the problem. There is no way no CEO should be getting paid millions of dollars per year. They need to start with reduction of pay for all of those CEO’s in place right now.

I look forward to seeing Luigi found “Not Guilty” in court!
Luigi‘s actions are truly a blessing to us all even the deceased CEOs family
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
I stand with the people of the United States!!!!!
It's the wrong way to start a conversation? Apparently, it's the only way to start a conversation about this subject! Why wasn't it discussed during the recent presidential election? Because Delay, Deny and Defend is something Democrats do too! While Trump has a 'concept of a Plan' after 4 years in office followed by 4 years out of office to contemplate the possibilities. Neither party has any desire to discuss possible fixes to this problem.
people were screaming out, begging for help, no one listened. Now Luigi has their attention
Too much money in it for the politicians for it to be fixed.
ObamaCare f***ed it all up. Ask anybody in the know.
social murder is still murder also if you take money for a service and then do not provide that service you are a thief
They tried to have him plead guilty, before he even get a lawyer.
The complete lack of journalistic integrity in this segment is hilarious, honestly.
They clipped the lawyer out of context to try to present it like he didn’t approve of the public support for Luigi, when really he was talking about taking money that people have offered to cover Luigi’s legal fees.
Also, stop dehumanizing the general public. There isn’t a “social media” bogeyman. You just don’t want to hear what people are saying.
lol, I guess this puts all CEOs on notice
Why is it sooooo hard for people to understand his actions.. not even to condone but just understand? They act like he's insane or he had a psychotic break. His was a very logical thought process that seems pretty straight forward.
Judging from the other comments on this video, it doesn’t seem like people are having a difficult time understanding his actions
The forensic psychiatrist is reasoning like I imagine that the French nobility reasoned about the nobleman Lafayette who joined the republicans in the French revolution against the king and nobility. They think that Luigi turned on "one of his own" and must therefore be mentally ill.
Lenin was a Russian nobleman who turned communist and abolished the Russian nobility. Fidel Castro grew in a family of rich landowners who dominated Cuba at the time, but he turned communist and subdued that same ruling class.
History is full of similar examples. Luigi appears to have a strong focus and conviction in everything he does and he knew exactly what he did this time as well.
Well said. Luigi has a great deal of empathy as well.
@@Pretty-Pink-Mink I guess that lots of white people particularly in the South during the Civil Rights era were regarded as crazy by the segregtionists for risking their lives for something that didn't effect themselves directly.

How many psychopaths are there in the boards of major corporations? Why isn't that analyzzed by the CNN and MSNBC pundits?
Luigi killed a SERIAL KILLER (Brian) who let thousands of patients die 😭
Start doing news reports on the people denied health care for those that paid health insurance and were still denied!!!
They can’t run a story that implicates their advertisers. CNN has seen a dramatic drop in advertising revenue over the past 2 years. They can’t afford to lose advertisers like Liberty Mutual. Any story that could potentially alienate their advertisers is never gonna air
They're scared that the public has already deemed him not guilty.
Oooohh, but Kyle Rittenhouse these people were ok with......
Nonsequitur.
they’re focusing on everything except the healthcare system !!! unsurprising
Because the healthcare system is a significant advertisers for them

All the medicine that he was taking for his back pain caused a deep depression and mental frustration towards the Healthcare industry for maybe denied some service that he felt should be covered..This is so sad for everyone involved 😢
This is amazing that CEO is not the murderer????
Medicare FOR ALL
Yeap🎉
Be careful what you wish for. I live in Canada, pay 70% of my income in taxes, have 3 family members die while waiting for care, one in the emerg. Our emergency wait times are 2-3 days just to initially be seen by a doctor. We have the highest death rates for ppl waiting for life saving surgeries. Yes our mammograms are covered but that means you can only get one once every 5 years. (I think in the states it’s every year). I need a kidney transplant and was told the wait time for an operating room will be 3-4 years, I have 12-18 months to live so will be coming to the states and paying out of pocket. Also I live in Toronto which is 2 hours from the Buffalo boarder and EVERY SINGLE person I know goes to Buffalo for MRIs, X-rays etc. it takes over a year to get an MRI appointment. Just food for thought, grass is NOT always greener. (Ps- I’m wife of a doctor lol).

"This is very serious, and should be taken very seriously. . . now welcome my first guest Kevin O'Leary"
The irony is even if he is mentally ill insurance wouldn’t have covered his necessary treatments
EDUCATE YOURSELF, THAT'S NOT HOW THIS INDUSTRY WORKS | When you buy an insurance policy, you get the coverage you purchased along with the duties and responsibilities as per contract. You cannot expect to be covered for a coverage you didn't buy or to activate your coverage without paying applicable deductibles and copays. If you have unpaid premiums or if you need to submit documentation or comply with a process prior to accessing your ultimate coverage, then you cannot expect to be backed by your plan. It’s the way the industry works. No policy covers everything my friend. The vast majority of people don't understand what insurance is and what are the contractual responsibilities of the insured. Then they blame the company and slander its executives for denying claims. It's pathetic.
Privatized insurance has no place in healthcare.
