Uggghh, Yep, another Seiko I have to have in my collection. Now the big choice, Batman black and blue or summer Orange. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Great video Bob

I had the orange SRPD, and the color scheme is great, most notably in terms of how it uses black to complement the orange.
I received this a few days ago and its a stunning piece. The dial is like a mandarin radiating the summer sun, couldn't be happier 🍊

I have this same watch and I have to tell you that after a little over a month, I really like it. It gets many compliments when I wear it. The jubilee bracelet is very comfortable and the watch looks great in orange.

Awesome looking watch…The orange has definitely grown on me too. Really looking forward to seeing what micro brands can do using this movement. I could see Lorier doing something really cool if they ever chose to. Great video Bob!
Yeah I have a feeling we'll see lots of gmt releases from the microbrands too. I bet Lorier could come up with something really cool.
I did hand wind my Seiko 5 Sport GMT every day at a fixed time for several weeks (as recommended in it’s user manual). Suddenly the stop mechanism stopped working, making it possibl to hand wind it «forever». So now I wonder wether I risk that would be a problem some time in the future…
One of those brands getting those NH34 movements is Venezianico which I’m partnering up with soon. I’m excited about these movements as I’ll probably start a GMT as these movements become more readily accessible.
I heard they had one coming too. Pretty cool that they have a good gmt option now.
Picked up mine today in the orange dial, no regrets! It's a beauty in person, perfect watch for the weekend.

I purchased the SSK003 blueberry and love ❤️ this watch . It was a coin toss between the blue and Orange 🍊. I will eventually get the Orange it’s a beautiful 😍 watch .

I think this movement is more exciting than the watch itself, will be interesting to see what the micro market comes out with and I'm looking forward to that. I will admit that I'm a bit of a sucker for orange dials though.

great review as always Bob! why you think i scooped up 2? lol you hit the nail on the head with there finally being an affordable true in house gmt movement (not eta, swiss im talking about you) not a true gmt but at this price point you legit cant beat it and if anyone disagrees there just pain wrong lol

I really love the SKX and this version is the spot on of skx replacement. A bit of disappointment for the color ways. I wish there’s a green version. It’s also over priced. I will consider buying when it’s lesser than 350 usd.
I just don't need a GMT...but that's pretty flashy looking in orange.

I'm looking forward to some micrbrand usage of this GMT movements as well. For the money they usually deliver more bang for your buck than a seiko 5.
I must say that Seiko did deliver a nice looking watch. The batman bezel is my favorite!

@@ShadyJames I can produce watches if I could have a reach to movement. We are in manufacturing and we have all kinds of CNC etc. Should I create a brand and get into this? Already so many on the market, what could be the differentiation from the others?

I need a good GMT. Just curious, do you have any idea which other companies are ordering the movement?
I know of 2 so far. I mentioned it in the video but the Vesuviate is one. The other I know of hasn't released the details yet but I have both coming in for videos.

Got mine last week. Great watch but I'm not keeping it because of my skx and my other Seiko's. This is just not a big enough difference from my others to keep. I would recommend this if you don't have a skx, lets face it most people will not use the GMT and will just sink it with home time. 🤦🏽 What's the point in buying a GMT then.
Yeah. I usually have my GMT's set to my parents time zone. More of a novelty but I like to have a gmt or 2 in the watch box.

@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces I am hopeful that a teal may be offered in the future. Bringing back the nostalgia of the 1980s 1990s dial colours will be a huge hit with 30-somethings like me.
Don’t know why everyone gets wet panties over micro brands. When I hear micro brands, I just think of a watch that will sell out before I ever get near it.

Charging people this much for an "upgraded" 5KX with the same bad inner bezel alignment etc., as usual, is a joke from Seiko! Stand your ground folks,- keep your money in your pocket!
Don't spend your hard earned cash on these hyped overrated watches! -Sad but true words from a real Seiko collector... 😔
Why make an exact copy of the jubilee bracelet from Rolex? They are not even trying. I just don't get Seiko. All bracelets they have are either Omega Speedmaster ripoffs or Rolex ripoffs. Seiko bracelets are just the worst on the market for the pricepoint period. They look bad, feel cheap (stamped clasps, come on) and they can't even be bothered to design one of their own. Even on the Grand Seiko models they are blatant copies of other brands. Such a shame, it cheapens the brand. I have owned MANY Seiko's, and sold them all because of the horrible bracelets and straps. Why, Seiko?
