That reporter is peddling false information. India does not buy Russian oil and re-export it back. Indian Foreign minister S. Jaishankar had made this very clear in one of his interviews. India is not the only country importing from Russia. China and some of the south-east Asian countries are also doing it. Infact, European nations are still importing Russian gas. Even Pakistan went to Russia to import oil, but they don't have the foreign exchange reserves to pay for it. Russia need money for the war and without it why would they even consider exporting to Pakistan. The diplomatic coup is that this time, India did not relent on US pressure to impose sanctions on Russia. And this is not the first time India did not relent. India did not budge when sanctions were imposed on India when we tested Nuclear Weapons. Also, one noteworthy thing is that, India exports a lot of finished petroleum products to US and other major countries. These may be developed using Russian oil but no guarantee that only Russian oil. Remember, Saudi is India's largest exporter of Oil and will remain so. Since, Pakistan is going through a tough economic situation, many reporters there are trying to entice the people to look towards India for help. Or creating a narrative that Pakistan should warm up to the fact that they need to seek help from India for their survival.
