Among everything (all really good). To not immediately publish a photo, letting your eyes rest for a while, it’s just as simple as it’s helpful! Thanks
super tuto. I like this moody color. however today i am looking for a blue/magenta street photo preset. does your preset pack contains cyberpunk, moody, night blue/magenta presets ?
One question: when you adjusted the tone curve of the first photo you said that you were crushing the blacks, but actually you were lifting the black point which from what I understand is just the opposite of crushing the blacks (lifting the black point = fading the blacks, ie making blacks lighter vs crushing the blacks = making blacks darker). Am I wrong here?
hey Teemu, I use a canon camera and therefore Canon Digital Photo Professional to edit the CR3 raw pics into JPEG, and then GIMP for more editing (both softwares are free). I am aiming to do photography as a hobby (taking pictures very much in your style) and would not so far justify paying for Lightroom.do you think Lightroom is definitely necessary?
Perhaps, but I don't see the point. I'm sure everyone can do the same edit step by step. These videos are meant more as general guidance and tips that can be adapted to your own work. So you can try it on your own raws. That's why at least I try talk more in general concepts as much as I can.
Presets and LUTs now available at www.nightshotacademy.com/shop/

Idk you might be right, I'll just call it "lifting the black point" to avoid confusion in the future

Get free mobile lightroom and then decide. Gonna be honest, your current setup will probably hinder your potential.
@@teemu.mp4 awesome, thank you

It would be awesome if you provide raw files(idk if they exist in film photos) so that we can try hands on.
