    One thing I would add. Always open your air to your discharge when you start. After your sure there's no blockage, then close and get your pressures right.

    This guy explains things properly, so many other videos out there where guys make it sound wayyyyyy to complicated. It’s rather easy to offload sand with a pneumatic tank. Just a few basic steps to fallow.

    Always start the blower with the belly line wide open. Less stress on the blower so cheaper maintenance over the long run and you can make sure that the last guy to unload into that tank/silo/etc didn't plug up the line. From there you should be getting things set the way your trailer and product like it.

    Good video sir. I haul a pneumatic tank also, and absolutely love it. I like sand, because it tends to not plug up but I’m not always hauling it. I haul limestone, burnt lime, soda ash, clay, and Dolmite.

    Always do it how your trainer shows you. You'll notice that everyone uses different methods to achieve the same outcome and that's really the learning curve of the job is seeing what works for you and your product/trailer.

    • @CB-lh8gw
      @CB-lh8gw ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hectorgarcia-zv1wi it's because even between similar make trailers you can get variances on what pressures work better for what products. unloaded sand 3 times this past week, first two times were with the same trailer and it took 2.5 hours for about 25 tons. last load was a different trailer and it took 1.5 hours for the same amount.

    I unload 5 sand trailers a day at 15 psi unlike powder you need high rpm 13-15 and you want your control arm and hopper valve completely open to get max blower power and product out. The more clicks on the control arm the more you strain the blower and make it inefficient

    I've been pulling bulk tankers over 20 years. However we recently landed a sand account. It's taking me about 2 hours to unload a 3 pocket trailer. With only 3 clicks of bottom air does that place have suction? How long does it take you to unload a pocket. You video sounded like you said 12 minutes and it was going empty.

    Thay didn't put air rators on trailers to look at there there to use,u never get plugged up that way on any type of sand just turn off top air and never touch that handle again,doing it this way I can unload 48 thousand in under 20 minutes

    depending on the kind of sand u haul, theres varying techniques, if ur blowing a long distance with coarse sand u need lots of air speed,the fine stuff not so much, we run drum 900 cfm blowers which r pretty much the standard blower i see most on trucks

    Hi there! I work in a silo where we receive the sand you guys bring. This pressure you are using is too high for low quality silos like the ones where are work, unfortunately. You shouldn’t use anything more than 8psi. Strong pressure can kill a person. And damage the silo for SURE, by making holes on it. Plus If the lid in the silo is being pressured too strong, it can blow up and the rest you can imagine…. I’ve seen it happening it almost killed a person… Also, we had to do too many emergency maintenances that ended up with huge lines of trucks to unload… and load…. not cool… I suggest don’t use more than 8psi for safety reasons and to avoid maintenance (delays). Be patient!

Like most other videos, you take for granted that everyone has your knowledge. Probably accounts for your Low Subscribers. I see other commenters agree.

    So question for the experienced sand haulers…
    My company uses a Mac trailer and the way I was taught to use a couple notches of top air and open product line whole way. Then dump back pod and then middle pod about 1/2 way and maintain tank and air pressure around 15-17 psi. Every trailer is different some slower and faster but takes me about an hour to blow off can. Anyone have a faster method using Mac trailers?? I know a lot of people use them see them all the time out there on the pad. Thanks
