    The note colours of single channels effects a couple of things, one i do know of is the arpeggiator. It effects different colours independently.

    Nice tutorial, when you are pasting the value of the note colour automation I find it easier to go to the channel settings of the automation clip and set its maximum value to the pasted value, that way I can do 0% or 100% digital/binary style on the automation which is easier to draw.

    Thanks for demistifying the Color Mapper!
    But why would you want to make a multi-instrument patcher instead of just having them play separately? Especially if you aren't working on a multi-timbral *instrument* (not group of instruments), this just make things more complicated then simply going through the mixer, don't you think?
    I mean the 2 decks Slicex tip and the randomization are interesting to look at but I don't know if I will ever use them. They could be useful in a live-set contest maybe? But as for producing, things that are not simple are easily forgotten once you don't use them consistently.
    Obviously this does take nothing away from the merit of your tutorial.

      It´s not necessarily what shall be done or what´s the most efficient way...
      Such videos shall just give some hints of what is possible in general...
      Some people like to work with as little seperate channels as possible...
      Some people like to work in single windows...
      I just want to stimulate your fantasy ...
      Everything else is up to you...

      @@flstudiotricks6903 Fair enough. The video is very useful to understand what this tech does in detail. Maybe I'll come up with something useful.
      Changing the subject, maybe randomization tools in FL Studio could be a cool topic for a series of video. Ciao

    My vfx color mapper plugin won't accept audio/connect to FL studio for some reason; it only accepts events. Any idea what to do about this?

    • @flstudiotricks6903
      @flstudiotricks6903  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It´s not an audio effect... it just works with events... it´s like a midi effect ...
      Everything you see in this video I feed into the Color Mapper is just event based!

      @@rockythestylishchap7948 You have to search for cinematic percussion, war drums and similar...
      Normally I get something like this out of Kontakt libraries like Heavyocity Damage or Evolve...
      If you are on budget I would look into services like Splice or Loopmasters where you have access to good samples for a small monthly fee.

    Aaaaa danke schon ! Du bist der Erste, der es fantastisch erklärt, so dass ich es sofort verstehe! Die Engländer und die Amerikaner lassen alles weg, sie spielen einfach mit ihrem FL Studio herum, ohne etwas über den VFX-Color-Mapper zu erklären. Really great video sir ! I knew that I can always trust my neighbors : the Germans, you never fail me when it comes to knowledge and being smart ! Thank you so much for this video ! Thumbs up ! I shall follow you from now on, I can learn so much from you ! Meine Dankbarkeit ist groß

    Is there a way to map each note to a different plugin on a mixer track?

  • @KoenZyxYssel
    @KoenZyxYssel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    10:27 Not entirely accurate. Changing the type of any point in an automation clip sets the type for automation points you create after that.
    Randomizing the note colors is cool but what I really want is to map specific keys to specific colors (similar to Key Mapper but for colors).

    I am not getting this part correctly 9:04. The sound doesn't play when I click 1to2. I am only getting 1to1 to play the sound. I don't understand...?

    • @flstudiotricks6903
      @flstudiotricks6903  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. You have to load a loop on both desks in Slicex... one for Deck A...one for Deck B...
      2. You have to make sure you are on the Color tab of the Color Mapper...not on the Voice Output tab...
      I hope this helps!
