A great video! Turns out I like all of them (that's not a surprise!) . Thanks for showing the embossing pen one.... I have two pens that I've never used. When I bought them it was to correct any stamping oopsies. I'd never thought to use them as a tool in their own right 🤦🏼♀️

Sasha as always, you’ve made beautiful cards! I only have a little bit of clear embossing powder, black powder and a weird mustard color. When I can afford it, I’ll be buying more colors bit by bit. It’s a shame that crafting is so expensive! Love your ideas.
Feel better soon. Kids are all back in school so cold and flu time. There’s so much Covid going around again. And here in BC Canada apparently Whooping cough is going around quite badly and I heard it’s a really bad strain. So begins autumn and winter ailments. 🤢🤢. I’m high risk, so I stay home more than going out. 😊❤️🇨🇦
Yes, im struggling with crafty products at the moment. Things are just feeling so expensive right now. Im trying not to buy much. I got all my xmas stamp sets and now im aiming not to spend again until march time. Trying to use what i have and make the most of it.

I love BC so much, my husband and I have always said if we were to be back in Canada, BC is where we would live.
@@SashaReade yeah, I’ve got loads of stamps off Amazon and Temu. They’re silicone not the really good stuff, but I make them work. I’m looking at my desk and seeing the absolute disaster on top and in front of it. Going to spend the rest of my day clearing everything off and scrub it down. I’ve got a small book case beside it. I’m thinking of putting it onto the desk against the wall. I use the keyboard tray to work on. With having the bookcase on top, I can organize my stamps and dies a bit better. I hope! Only one way to find out.
It would be great if you ever move to BC, maybe try a place here on Vancouver island. I’m in Victoria. Up island has many nice towns and stunning country side. Or even along the coastal towns. Loads of wild life, bald eagles, golden eagles, even turkey vultures until around now when they migrate down south for the winter. We have elk, deer, beavers in some areas, of course cougars and black bears. We have a rain forest on the island. Whale watching. On Netflix there’s a 3 episode of wildlife up island. Wolves, and sea life. It’s called “Island of the sea wolves”. Not sure if you can watch it in UK. I never knew about the wildlife here until I watched this mini series. I loved it so much, I watched it twice. One bald eagle had me laughing. Anyhow I’m a born and raised in Victoria BC. Almost 71 now. 😊❤️🇨🇦

If you laminate a sheet you get a similar look to embossing in clear.

Hi Sasha! Great ideas! I have been meaning to ask this question, and since it is about decorative papers...I know it is about using them up. My question is on the other end about keeping/hoarding them. I'm not even sure if it is a thing that nobody talks about, but I photocopy my favorites when they are no longer available. I also want to say that 99% of the time I am doing it on specialty card stock -shimmer, holographic or vellum. (I'm not selling them or the cards I make with them)
Do you think it is a problem...illegal or unethical? I don't want the paper police 🚓🚔🚓coming after me.
ha ha well, im sure the companies wouldnt be happy, and if you were selling papers or cards with the designs then i think that is copyright infringement, but, there are no card police ha ha.
So i think if you're doing what you're doing and no one knows....
I wouldnt be overly worried. There have been times i have wanted to copy papers i have because i have loved one or 2 of the designs in the pad a lot and wanted to have more of those ones, or i have wanted to make a set of cards for someone using the same design. I think i would have copied them for those purposes but my printer just doesnt do the papers justice and i would never get the same quality
I also have wanted to copy papers when it's double sided and you like both sides of the paper. That often winds me up. When you have to sacrifice a side to use the other. I think i would try to re print in that case to be able to enjoy both sides and i wouldnt feel guilty
You know you can use distressed oxides for embossing & get better results
I didnt want any colour showing through, i just wanted silver so i went with the clear embossing ink :)
