    I love little Anna. She such a good little herding dog. Every time I hear her barking it makes me smile because she’s working.

    I am so excited for all the girls to deliver new babies, but most all I'm so happy for Ruger and Rae!!! It has been difficult to be patient and now they will get their turn to be Mama Goat!!! We❤🔵🌵🍶🐐s!!! Stay safe!!

    I finally know that Honey has the honey colored tail, thanks to this video I can tell them apart, well at least from behind. 😆 A small tip for breeding season baths, Dawn works best when diluted with water. Meaning additional water in the bottle will be magical. That is one reason it works so well for cleaning wildlife after an oil spill. 💜

    Can you do a video of how and why you do the breeding pairings? Like why you put who with who?

    • @sethkaddatz2766
      @sethkaddatz2766 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Or a video of who is still in the herd and who left? And how you chose the does you kept and why some left? I just think it would be really fun and knowledgeable! Just some ideas.

    • @LegendHold1
      @LegendHold1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes please....it would be nice to know why you pick the pairing you do with the sires and dams. Things you are trying to improve. trying for naturally polled? those types of "deep thoughts" help us armchair goat herders understand the thought process. Thanks Crystal!

    I told you Anna was telling the goats that Mom said go, go!!! I think taking the baby girls to the show as Juniors and see if they can get Champion legs, would be awesome to continue to the Obie line. That would give them a extra leg up when they start really showing.

    Love this video and the examples so that we can clearly see how you are making your determinations on which does to breed. If you were to measure the distance of your hand, what would you say the measurement would be thurl to thurl? 6" or 7"? Just curious as hand size differs from person to person.

    I know you have been doing breeding the same for a while but have you considered doing things differently this year? There are those who say that if you want to try for more doe kids you should only leave the doe in with the buck for a few hours when she is in a standing heat. Considering that you have had so many bucklings the past few years I thought you might want to try something different. It would mean more work probably, but I don’t know, if it works might be worthwhile.

    Why not just breed those 2 like a month later than the others. That way you don't have to worry about waiting and them getting thick.

  • @inglis7086
    @inglis7086 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't understand why you don't breed to younger two 2 months later - it's not perfect but plenty of cow people have a heifer herd, and cow herds that are breed and have babies at different times - 2023 season they go in to the breeding program with the main herd
