  • In this video I explain car transfers to and from the back seat. This is important after any knee surgery, but especially after a total knee replacement surgery.

    Any surgeon worth his practice should require these videos be part of the PT tx. My tkr recovery would have been infinitely more challenging had I not utilized Tony's help. Will always be grateful for it and will always recommend it.

    Thank you so much. I'm having my right knee replaced, so I'll practice getting in the car on the right (passenger) side, backseat.

    Thank you so much for showing from the left leg. All other videos show the patient getting in the front passenger seat with a bandage on the right knee. I knew that wasn't going to work for me, but I will start practicing your method immediately.

    I'm going in for my second TKR but don't remember struggling to get in and out of the car. I hope #2 will be as lucky!

    Hey Tony! Great video. However, somehow, it's reversed left to right. The steering wheel appears on the right hand and the script on your shirt is backwards.

    Hi Tony. There are so many support groups on line. What does the profile pic look like for yours? Thanks for the great info you provide. I’m 2 weeks in and hoping to apply your advice!

    I have a question I haven't been able to get answers for. I had a multi ligament surgery. Acl and pcl allograft repair meniscus reconstruction and also had a fractured fibula. So it's been about a month since surgery and I haven't been able to find much information on a multi ligament reconstructive surgery. I'm curious what the recovery time line is. Every time I ask my Dr or physical therapist they say it all depends on the person and how often they do their exercises. There are a lot of videos and Dr's talking about total knee replacement and the famous acl surgery. I'm 32 and I'm frustrated because I don't know what to expect. Will I be able to move like before or am I going to have problems for the rest of my life. How long until I can walk or put weight on it? Please if you read this I would be soooooo grateful for any information.

    The problem is I can’t slide because of back problems. When I get in the passenger side - my left leg is in - but my right leg is hanging off touching the cement - and that’s where I hurt my right knee. How do I go about that?

    What about if you had both knees operated??

    • @lynflom125
      @lynflom125 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They don't replace both knees at the same time.

      @@lynflom125 Yes they do; it's called bi-laterial knee replacement.
