I'm stateless. It's terrible. I want so badly for there to be help somewhere, but there really isn't. So many places I've contacted and none have even given me a sliver of hope.

How does a stateless person get deported when they have zero citizenship anywhere else in the world?

There are multiple reasons for statelessness. For instance, wars that led to refuge, disintegration of states and emergence of others which led to thousands stateless people. Also, there is around 30 countries prevent female citizens from granting citizenship to their children which makes problems in case of absence of their fathers or anonymity, and the worst reason for statelessness is deliberate targeting of a particular population by authorities see that they are undesirable either because of their political opinion or religious belief.

I became stateless when I renounced my U.S. citizenship in 2012. My wife was pregnant and I had overstayed my visa in this country. I feared being taken from her and foolishly believed I could become a citizen here. Well, that has never happened and now I have no rights and cannot even return home to see my family. I work illegally and several of the people I love have died since I've been away. I wish I could have been there to say my farewells. Really, I have no idea how this will all play out. I wish I had some documents so I could travel, rent, open a bank account, or do anything. But, I do not. Such is life.

Here in the US, we need to focus first on prosecuting those who enter our country illegally. That's the first problem we need to tackle, then we can move onto these issues. Not one red cent for these causes until we've solved the problem of illegal immigration.
