21k into my 2016 s3...love it. Every day smile and chirps in 3rd. And audi care makes it easy for first 5 years..👍best color too..sepang blue black optics 🤙🤙
I have a 2016 S3 as well, I bought it new in Feb 2017. I've put 25k on it so far. I've only ever had one issue with it, a faulty sensor in the camshaft actuator was feeding the car's computer wrong readings, the dealer replaced it for me for free. No other issues. Mine has everything except the virtual cockpit which didn't come out till 2017 models, I also don't have the adaptive cruise control and lane assist. Other than that I have everything else.
I have also a 2016 S3. The red ring on the gear shifter broke off. Not sure how. I went to a hand car wash. By the time I got home and parked, it was no longer attached. Audi ordered a new gear shifter and replaced it through warranty. Depending on the weather I can hear a sound coming from underneath the car. Only happened twice. By the time I got to Audi the sound went away. I got an Audi technician to ride with me. I could not replicate. It sound like metal was dragging on the ground. Otherwise love, love the car!
That’s an amazing car with a cool colour. I’m collecting my new S3 in a month, I can’t wait. You mentioned the buttons that control the virtual cockpit. Would it possible to do a review showing how they all work, which one does what etc. That would be very useful thanks dude 👍
Hey guys, nice review, you touched on a lot of things. Here's my two cents. I own a 2018 S3 with but 3200 miles. Ara Blue Crystal effects, the best color by far, with the Black Optic Package. Sticker was $53,200, paid $46,936. Quite a deal! I also did a APR Stage II tune on the car, and where I live, North East PA, with 93 octane, I have about 380 HP and 386 Ft Lbs of torque. So, I know the car and have a few gripes. First of all, I chose the Sport Seat Option, a $1450.00 hit. Guess what, the sport seat option eliminates the power seats! C'mon Audi, now I have and awkwardly adjusting seat, with some diamond quilting? Secondly, I don't know why every reviewer never mentions the Chrome vent ring reflection in the door mirrors! At first I thought I need to clean that mirror, until I saw it was only the reflection of the chrome. Should be in black. Thirdly, I drive exclusively in Sport mode. My suspension setting is "Please don't hurt me mode" These bad roads near me makes this car not fun to drive. Lost a wheel already at 700 miles. All built up and bad roads, no place to really enjoy the car. Still love it though. Stage III is in the wings.
victor van dyke I think they eliminated the motor power for the seats, is for weight reduction. Mine has the standard seats. I share the car so. Me being lazy, the motorized seats are helpful. I do miss memory seats that my Infiniti has.
i just bought this exact car, same trim and color except with the sport seats. one thing to note is that the sport seats are manual. if you are big on sound systems, this is the car for you. Anyways, i love this car; i get a smile every morning that i get to drive it.
i just picked up a 2018 s3 and I gotta say the gear box is not as instant as you say. there is a definite delay between clicking the paddle and the car actually shifting. Good review tho.
does it have the same transmission as the 2019 golf r? I have the golf r, and there is a delay with mine after shifting first gear. other than that, it’s pretty instant
Love my 2017 S3 in Navarra Blue! I’ve been having an internal debate on blacking out the trim and front grille. Think it would look great with the other 19” wheel setup and silver mirrors. I will say it hurt to see that dealer emblem stuck on the trunk.
I am looking at a 2017 s3. Guessing it's not much different at all. I'm looking for issues with this car see what I'd get into if I get it. It's around 30,000 with 40,000 miles on it. I also live in extremely hilly snowy area. So I'm hoping it's great for that too. I mean AWD and audi so hoping. Is this good car tho?
True. There are MANY great cars and makes we don't even get in the States, unfortunately. But hey!! Liberals are forcing boring electric cars down our throats so we have that to look forward to lol
You can check last year's or 2016's or....2013's. They are same. I am joking, it is fantastic driver's car. But the usability is not perfect for daily drive. Hope it helps
Considering the exterior/design, technological capabilities, attention to detail, user friendly, and doesn't feel like parts thrown together its not over priced at all.
You seriously cant compare Japanese market performance cars to German and Ford Fusion Sport lol...... thats just pathetic hahahaha IF its not a Ford GT Mustang its garbage.
Styling (not a hatchback like the R) premium interior & resale value; plus the upscale Audi badge says buy it, not VW. I own this and I looked pretty exhaustively at the Golf R before buying S3.
i have audi s3 2017 it s same car great car with only one real minus- NOT connected with road steering and road feel -2 different things- great steering in AUDI but shitty connection with road
wrong, its one of the best values out there.... stage 2 gets you about 400 HP and you are destroying just about every car on the road, with low 12's quarter mile even high 11's
The BASE price for a c43 is a grand or more than the price of a fully loaded S3. They are in completely different price segments. My RS3 is priced very similarly to your c43 and it shits all over the c43 in performance, sound, and looks.
I think you're the only reviewer that states the type of fuel the cars use. That's so helpful.
I mean I hear Audi turbocharged engine and think premium right away
@@sepangs3565 I see german and I think premium right away haha
Everyone already knows except you 36 idiots. 😂
Honestly, that color is JAW DROPPING🤩
21k into my 2016 s3...love it. Every day smile and chirps in 3rd. And audi care makes it easy for first 5 years..👍best color too..sepang blue black optics 🤙🤙
Chirps in third? It’s awd so I think your Haldex was messed up.
Super review... Drew! your acceleration reaction is priceless. Another awesome review buddy, thank you
Jose P.
The acceleration on this one is always a blast! :-) Thanks Jose!
Looks like one sweet ride Drew ! 😀
i own a 2016 Audi S3 and i still love it.
what's your long term review on it? how's the servicing and how many Km/miles have you done so far?

When I buy my s3 I’m buying it directly from Audi not from any “auto world”
Lost Soul what is the 0-60 bro?

may i know how much does it cost for the APR Stage 1 tuning ?
The exterior is so sleek

how is it in snow?
Stay gold guys

Simon Filshtinsky yeah with the sport back. It’s really instant with the saloon
@@scally881 LOL, a saloon? I met everything would be instant!

@@scally881
Why would the body shape effect the gearbox?
no its not, on my 2018 S3 it literally instant shifting, the DSG/ dual clutch is my favorite transmission, rock solid.
Spec is amazing!! Thanks for sharing Drew!! You sure are staying gold 😆
Haha thanks!

waiting for mine to deliver 🤗
How is your s3?
Love these reviews
Really informative video, cheers man
Golf R under the skin
Um don’t you mean Skoda?!
Great video Pony
Thanks, appreciate it!
Nice car it looks nice
Wonder if that pop up screen wears out?
solen 1 it could break like everything else
Lol, yeah they have come a long ways with reliability.
As soon as warranty expires.
My mom has an a3 for like 2 years. Interior looks nice when I visited her like months ago. I will say it is durable.
Have my 2016 S3 since Feb 2017, no issues with the pop up screen.
Great review!! 🔥🔥 Will you do a review of Audi RS5?
We shall see... If I did I probably wouldn't be driving it unfortunately but we will see what happens.

very good review.
Thanks!
Nice video!
Thanks!
nice review.
Thanks!
Nice video, what song is that?
just traded in my 2015 S3 to this 2018 S3. in yellow
What color is this?
I wish you guys could get the SEAT Leon Cupra in the states. It's the same car but lighter than the Audi/Golf R but looks so much better
True. There are MANY great cars and makes we don't even get in the States, unfortunately. But hey!! Liberals are forcing boring electric cars down our throats so we have that to look forward to lol
Great videos I think what you need to do is do a update on everything. Make a nice intro for the videos and all the titles etc.
Can you do a BRZ review
You can check last year's or 2016's or....2013's. They are same. I am joking, it is fantastic driver's car. But the usability is not perfect for daily drive. Hope it helps
Can you review a Dodge Charger Daytona?
Good features audi S3
I thought the face-lift model has 310hp now?
Ahmed Alsaba Only in Europe. Unfortunately, not in the U.S.
it has over 310 HP, Audi HP numbers are almost always alot higher than what is stated.....has something to do with German tax laws believe it or not.
This or the alpha Giulia 🤔🤔
Nice review and great looking car, but its overpriced when considering the cost of a Golf-R.
Considering the exterior/design, technological capabilities, attention to detail, user friendly, and doesn't feel like parts thrown together its not over priced at all.
lol 50k is not overpriced thats pretty cheap.... especially for a premium brand performance car.
You just named to trash brands lol but I digress :)
You seriously cant compare Japanese market performance cars to German and Ford Fusion Sport lol...... thats just pathetic hahahaha IF its not a Ford GT Mustang its garbage.

does it have a clutch pedal?
Fun Subcompact Audi A3 Hyundai Accents
Face lift model is 310bhp
Not Qautro try Haldex!
This is an improved Haldex. Not Torsen but still ok.
yeah whatever, haldex, its still quattro or close enough
Excellent review, but he has a bad music taste...
I hope the starting price is $10,000
Or $100.
i have audi s3 2017
it s same car
great car with only one real minus- NOT connected with road
steering and road feel -2 different things-
great steering in AUDI but shitty connection with road
I wonder how the dealer would feel if u give the car a bad review.
Wished his tester was a push start
travi it is
the s3 does not have quattro , it has haldex.
Nate Hess okay
What’s the difference?
Good review but please slow down your talking, it's too fast.
Brian M. Just slow down the video
I like the golf r better
4th!
This or BMW335?
This. I own this and owned the BMW335
FIRST
Overpriced.
Great value.
wrong, its one of the best values out there.... stage 2 gets you about 400 HP and you are destroying just about every car on the road, with low 12's quarter mile even high 11's
hate that stupid music :C
Very bad car very bad car
One of the best.
It’s not a real Quattro.
Yeah it is.
See the badge?
Glad I chose the 2018 C43 AMG. 40k+ for a FWD Haldex car... LOL FAIL!
B_M_F_710 it has Quattro All-Wheel-drive
c43 is not in same price range. About 10k more
The BASE price for a c43 is a grand or more than the price of a fully loaded S3. They are in completely different price segments. My RS3 is priced very similarly to your c43 and it shits all over the c43 in performance, sound, and looks.
Caesar Hatami the C43 AMG is more of an Audi S4/S5 competitor
