- Tasneem Institute presents ‘The Brother of the Prophet’, a documentary highlighting the distinguished life and legacy of Amir al-Mumineen, Imam Ali (a). From his extraordinary birth in the cradle of the Holy Ka’bah, to his upbringing by Prophet Muhammad (s) himself, Imam Ali (a) devoted every ounce of his existence to the aid and the service of the Holy Prophet (s). Imam Ali (a) led a life of service, of distinct honour, valour and integrity as the foremost Muslim in Islamic history after the Messenger of God. While his virtues are endless, perhaps the best way to describe Imam Ali (a) is, as a mirror of the Prophet himself, as the very essence of the Prophet, as the brother of the Prophet.
You don’t have to be a Sunni or a Shia to love the Lion of Allah, not even a Muslim… just a human. There is no one like Ali, there shall never be. 🤍

Imam Ali (AS) said “love for me doesn’t come from the virasa of your father but from the shirafa of your mother” . Every Shareef mothers child would love Imam Ali (AS).
“And the foremost are the foremost, These are they who are drawn near (to Allah),”
[Surah Waaqeah (56): Verses 10-11]
Imam Hasan Ibn Ali (a.s.) narrates from Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) concerning this verse who said regarding this verse,
“Surely, I am the first to believe in Allah and His Messenger and I am the closest confidante of Allah and His Messenger.
“Certainly, only Allah is your Master and His Messenger and those who believe, those who establish prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.”
[Surah Maaedah (5): Verse 55]
Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) said:
“The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) was praying one day in the mosque when a poor person passed by him (s.a.w.a.). So, Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) asked him, ‘Has anyone given you any charity?’ The person replied, ‘Yes, I passed by a man who was bowing (in a state of Ruku’) and he gave me his ring’ and (saying this) he pointed with his hand towards Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s.). So this verse was revealed that “Certainly, only Allah is your Master and His Messenger and those who believe, those who establish prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.” Then Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, ‘He - viz. Ali (a.s.) - is your Master after me.”

beautiful documentary- wish it included some more accolades like being the one chosen as a match fir the prophet’s daughter, being father of orphans- how he helped them, n the piety/justice eg not using the public treasury for any personal use. It would have give a holistic view for the non-shia audience that doesn’t know much about him.

You could exclude that story about prophets' saliva which doesn't sound beautiful and correct!
So you doubt Allah can give prophet PBU miracle and disinfect an eye infection with saliva in such an emergency? It was Allah’s will for imam Ali to have eye infection and unable to lead at first so others can try and fail first as a sign, so then prophet PBU says tomorrow I will send someone that allah and I love, and he loves me and Allah! Meaning the other two do not love me and allah nor do I or allah love them! And if Ali was sent first and succeeded, others would’ve said we could’ve done it too but wasn’t given the chance! If your heart was pure you would understand Allah and his plans better! Spitting words without thinking deep, is repeating whispers by Shaytan in your head.❤️
