    A lean mean lightweight Metal Machine. Gotta love that classic 80’s V look. Nice guitar, Ben, sounds great too.

    I just got one of these a few days ago, and I completely agree about how bright it sounds out of the box, the tone is so clean and the neck feels great. I replaced the pickups with a set of Seymour Duncan Nazgul & Sentients and it sounds so much beefier now. Great guitar overall. Good stuff man.

      I love the Nazgul. I never did try the Sentient. Very cool.

      @@benpowersguitar oh if you like the Nazgûl, you’ll definitely love the Sentient! They absolutely rip as a pair.

      What's the point in having a Jackson Rhoads and playing some Skynyrd on it?

    What’s that chord u play right after the G power chord @9:12 ? It like a Cmaj or something but idk… I’m just curious as to the finger placements also great review thanks

      I learned it as a Cadd9, though I don't know if that's the correct name. Playing 3rd fret on A, 2nd fret on D, open or mute the G, and playing the 3rd fret of e & b.

    I can't get used to seeing you play that style of body. Looks and sounds good again. The Jacksons do seem to be great value for money. How is the satin finish for fingerprints?

      @benpowersguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha ha. I will mainly use it for rhythm, most likely. The finish is really good for fingerprints, compared to several others I have tried. Still can get them, but not as easy.

      @@benpowersguitar that is good, I hate fingerprints on satin finishes.

    I had to look at my wall to make sure mine was still hanging there after seeing this... just kidding. It's really a great affordable metal guitar. I love mine... satin black. The body is poplar, but that just makes it lighter. I have played a 1900.00 RR Jackson with a whammy and as far as I can tell; tone wise... they sounded very much alike to me. I am content not to pay ultra high prices for guitars when budget friendly guitars do quite nicely. Epiphone makes great guitars at a fraction of the price of Gibson.
    I am not into brand names. I am into what works for less money.
    Both my Jackson JS32T Kelly and RR V kick serious butt.
    Subbing you.

      I appreciate it. Yeah, there are some great guitars running around that won't break the bank. It's a good time to be a guitarist.

    It's not a dinky though. Dinky is a Jackson superstrat.
