I’m here in southwest florida. I hear you about FEMA. what did they say as the reason for denial. Check your local county sometimes they have a blue roof program that will do it for free.
they said because its listed as minor damage that it was not approved... thing is the shingles were torn off and there's a hole in the roof that leaks water in when it rains, i have water damage in the ceiling, part of my fence was damaged, i had rented a generator from one of the neighbors, got gas which was siphoned out my car and i had to go out and wait again for hours to get some... and since it was all within first few days there was no receipts all cash so couldn't proof that, and since the roof and fence was listed as minor it was automatically rejected and no estimator came out or placed to me.. their thoughts of whats minor and major is all over the place especially when who ever reviews does it their own way as well..
