My Dad James Ormsby was in the Argyll's and it meant the world to him, used to go and meet with other ex Argylls in Paisley, he loved those days, never a regiment like it and never will be.

My great grandfather, John Glenn, served in the Regiment in 1881. I have photos taken of him from a studio in Gibraltar, on his way to serve Queen and Country. Those photos were my father’s pride and joy. He served in the 8th Army Air Corps in England during WW2. RIP, Edward Lamontagne Garrow.

My late husband was a proud Argyll.Served with them in Borneo,Aden and Northern Ireland. Then we came to Australia and he became an engineer.A very proud soldier.Joined at 15 in U.K. and retired at 55, but always an Argyll.

Good to see the lads again . Hendy here piggy backing this man account . After Avery thing that happened with Rabb and all I still feel like an Argyle . Whiterock and Girwood were bloody great but Minden the worst posting we had EVER .
