Elvis truly had a gift since the very beginning and he always tried to pay the audience back by putting all energy in his performances... Just the way it is.
I love watching Elvis' early TV performances. He was on fire! So raw with excitement to perform and it was wonderful to watch him try little moves/twitches/looks to tease the girls to scream (during *Love Me* is my favorite). I think one of Elvis' most proud moments was when Ed Sullivan made it known to all of American what a "real decent, fine boy" he was along with his band and The Jordanaires (after *Peace In The Valley*). 💗💓💖
Really great! How nice to see him when still so young, so full of energy, so wild, and how much enthusiasm he had, we can feel it while watching him performing. There will never be another Elvis again! Thank you for sharing.
I love seeing stuff like this, it shows that he was just musician and like every musicians, flubs happen on stage. I've been stung by a guitar string before, they hurt like hell. I was watching Elvis that's the way it is last night, and in his rehearsal when he gets shocked by the mic while singing little sister, had that happen too. But the way he continues the show, it shows how professional he was.
That leg goin'....😂😂 He was so young and had no idea how much he would be loved and cherished.... 😊 Thanks for sharing this. I never noticed before...😂
Loved the video thankyou ! I’ve been going through my collection of early Elvis and you forget just how mad them times were …. He really was one of a kind never to be replaced xx
Thanks for uploading this one, Elvis is/was one of the greatest entertainers of all time. He's the reason stadiums sell out today for other artists... Darealdeal
Hi David ♥ I did notice that he paused for a second and looked at his guitar but I didn't realise he had broken a string. (sounds like the script from loving you when he kept on breaking his band members guitar string) 😂 😂 😂 😂 I think he got away with it, what a pro. What a man. ELVIS IS THE MAN 😂 😂 😂 Thank you David xxx 💝
There simply wasn't anyone doing anything like what EP was doing when he rocked onto the stage for the first time. When people say this was already happening, I wish they would provide the evidence because I've looked and all I see is people starting to emulate Elvis AFTER, not the other way around. He definitely broke more guitar strings than anyone else then or since, too. Crazy Cat 💯🕺🎸⚡❤
Love reminiscing now, Elvis when he was young and I was even younger, and he was so amazing and enjoying himself, and we were likewise entranced with him.
I never noticed this David. I should have though being raised by a guitar playing daddy. I guess I was to busy watching Elvis move ! Wow ♥ Many thanks David for bringing this to our attention. You're quite sharp ⚡️ TCB
Thanks David! I love reading about these bits of Elvis trivia❤. I have the Milton Berle shows with Elvis on a DVD and love them. I think Elvis got away with his wild performance because Milty liked him so much as a person. I saw an interview with him, done many years later and he had nothing but praise for Elvis. You could see the pair of them were having fun, not like Steve Allen who set out to humiliate Elvis😡
This performance was the first time I noticed the three of them performing as a group with Elvis as lead singer. If you watch, Bill Black is almost as entertaining as Elvis with his bass performance! I believe he was told to dial it back by Colonel Parker.
Disagree on the most powerful rock song by Elvis being BSS. Too Much blew me away first listening to it and still does with that guitar solo. I heard Scotty got lost recording the solo on the studio version, but found his way back somehow and continued with the song. He could never recreate it the way he did when he recorded it
Whoa, never noticed that before, am glad it didn't slap him across the face; that would have hurt and left its mark. I had that happen and it left a thin stripe across my face for a couple of weeks.
A side note we fans need to be paying close attention to, and I have just discovered a few moments ago that, Baz Lurhman just put out on Instagram that he has HOURS of Live footage, not just Unreleased, but Unseen, from both "That's The Way It Is" & "Elvis On Tour"!!! Can't wait to see what comes next w it all!! P.S. I did know about the broken string and he was definitely just pulling it out of his way... Ive always thought, what a pro to just be able to yank it out of the way and continue w/o ever missing a beat! That's muh-boy!!
@@ElvisistheMan_ I respectfully tell you that you misinterpreted my words. I precisely wanted to highlight that the smallest detail of their actions, are important for us, their followers. I love Elvis♡ like you. Have a good day.
I understand what you said. True - every tiny thing Elvis did or said has assumed monumental importance in the eyes of his fans now, so much more so than when it lay happened😊
Good spot the original footage wasn't good enough quality to spot it but the still you can clearly see he'd busted a string. I think the old TV footage is kinescope which is film footage from a TV screen so in the 50's it's all poor quality and you don't get good sound or a good quality image. Seems bizzare that they'd film the TV screening but not the orginal performance. I think there could be constructive uses of Ai if they could improve the quality of these TV performances from the 50's.
...and no one ever know it's....because I've never heard anybody talk about it....but if you look at the aloha special....when elvis is presenting the member of his orchestra....why in some cuts..elvis is wearing the Hawaiian rings around his neck...and..in another video cut his not...and...is in black and white...
@@king_david_fitness4736 right,,.. actually his performance on Milton Berle, Jun 56, .. He puts down guitar, & was considered th most wild, scandalous,
Elvis was so energized during his performance, no wonder the strings broke!😂❤🇦🇺

Oh, yes. Noticed that long ago but never saw the string dangle. Elvis didn't miss a beat though, kept right on playing.
I never noticed this before! Elvis was dynamic in the 50's! Thanks.

I had noticed his reaction of suddenly something wrong with the guitar but hadn’t noticed the string breaking! Thanks David

Gracias por compartir, contigo cada día aprendo más sobre la vida de Elvis.
ELVIS FOREVER ❤️
Elvis put everthing in his performances! In the early years❤

Yes ma’am!
I watched that many times before, and I have never noticed that. Wow
Thank you for pointing that out. I truly appreciate all the videos you posts.
I’m happy to hear that
I was actually watching this at the time and didn’t notice this. Thanks!
Haha welcome
I heard about this happening before but never actually saw it happen with a zoom in as yours showed. Thanks for sharing
Wow. I thought he was always breaking strings because he played so hard.
Never noticed that.
You always find good stuff to show us...👍✌️
💯
Too cool!! Youd think MB woulda used that to make fun of Elvis live on air
Thank you David this is another good one
Glad u liked
Wow!
Only Elvis the King could break a guitar string and make it look so cool! 😍 Great video, David 👍
I always thought he was trying to get Scotty to see what happened. Scotty was too busy with a solo at the time 😂
Nice!! I never noticed that!!😂👍
Love the intro graphics.
Great episode.. Rock on Elvis ❤

Well i check out Elvis lips, hips, eyes, and moves… i never noticed the string. You have great insight!!🤙🏼
Thanks!

Hey David thankyou show that video my friend keep up elvis look forword more cool video
Should’ve gotten a lesson from BB how to change a string during a song😊
Lol
To the contrary, Elvis broke his strings many times on stage. I think it also happened on one of the Dorsey Bros Shows & on tour.
Didnt see this before. Great video!
At that moment he never thought that something so simple would be so importat to comment more than fifty years later.
Well, I’m just trying to find interesting topics to bring up. This isnt meant to cause you any mental distress. It’s just something to chat about.

WTF of course I’ve seen it 😂 i don’t need you to tell me that 😂
From what I’ve read, he broke guitar strings all the time!
Funny story you think that his hands ever hurt couse he was playing so hard maybe it hurt
I think Elvis’ fingertips would hurt pressing the strings before he developed callouses

No, never noticed
long tall sally might even be more powerful
Yeah but BSS flows better for me…
Studio version was not rock n roll it was PUNK!
It sucks to have a string break mid-performance. You still make the chords but no string. It is distracting but part of playing a guitar.

Just some Elvis entertainment nothing to get worked up about
